So this isn't good.

Just upgraded the firmware, and I do a few focus tests.  Just focusing on various objects around my desk.  Then I get this.  I'm not even taking a picture.

Anyone getting this?

I have gotten twice with version 3.00 firmware, not sure why this happened.  In both cases I was shooting and quickly changing settings on the camera - I turned it off and back on in both cases.  The second time it happened I lost an image on the SD card - which I then replaced with a spare.  No problems since.

I must say that the message gives NO indication as to what the problem is (quite frustrating).....

Ok, I'm gonna try a full reset on it, and then re-install the firmware.

I actually have it due for sending in for pixel remapping (2nd round, pixels got worse), so I hope they can take a peek if this doesn't help.

Thanks guys!

Had you re-formated the card after installing the firmware.

Fuji recomends you do this so that the Firmware is no longer on the SD card. I think if the firmware is still on the card it can mess with writing images to the card.

Just a thought

Yes, did reformat.

Just to be really clear here AFTER installing firmware you formated?

As in removing the firmware file frmo the DS card after you had used it.

I always re-format twice for every upgrade.

I format the card to clean it of all photo's

I put firmware on card

I update camera

I turn off camera

I turn it back on again

I format the SD card a second time to remove firmware.

I turn camera off again.

I take pictures :)
