I searched on google to find a forum for Fuji Xpro1 and clicked on a link that has the same url as this except that it reads fujix-forum.com instead of fuji-x-forum. I couldn't register on it as it returned errors and wouldn't open in Safari on my Ipad either. Was it a fraudulent site? There were threads that were the same as on here. Strange.

To answer your question in the topic title:

Yes, there is this other site with a similar name.

No, that's no fraudulent site but our competitors.

Their claim is „the original Fuji X Forum“ - we are „the ultimate Fuji X Forum“.

I think it's a question of politeness if we do not comment on errors on their side.

But again: No fraudulent site.

Competitors? Really?

I think many users enjoy contributing to both sites. That also explains why you could see similar threads.

Edit: I think they exist longer than this forum, so their claim of the "original" Fuji X forum seems justified :)

I don't know which of the two came for first, but it's silly to see possible forces scattered around.

Und ja, the forums should be reunited in just one. But I know how these things go, I had my own experiences with forums.

Yes. Really.

Yep. We have the same core topic and sure a lot of people use both sites.

Which is perfectly OK with me.

Also OK with me. They are „original“, we are „ultimate“.

Andreas, did you type that though gritted teeth.

Nope. I could have deleted this thread and everything would have gone unnoticed.

In my experience (and my experience in this field is much longer than with this community) it's a waste of time and energy to start personal fights. The guys at the FXF (with only one hyphen) must have done a good job to build up their community.

The thing is: We think we can do it even better.

BTW - teeth gritting is bad for your health...

No. Soviet union and other socialist countries tried this. And we know how this went out...

Competition is best for all - at least if it's a fair competition.

I was just being careful. I tried to register with them but an error occurred when I entered the site via a search on Google, so I tried opening it in Safari on my Ipad but it wouldn't load. Being a bit hypervigilant, I was suspicious.Another search got me here. I did not intend to start any quarrel so I'm sorry if I came across as a bit contentious.

You're quite safe here. We're all quite civilized. Quarrels? What's that? ;)
