Which film simulation do you enjoy shooting?

Had my X-Pro1 for almost a month and only shot with PROVIA/STANDDARD which is fine and gives very neutral colors but it's kinda boring.

Tried the NEG.STD today and I have to say I really liking the result with less saturated colors. Looks a bit more clean to my eyes for some reason.

 

Which film simulations do you prefer using and in what situations?

BW+Y or BW+R, depending on the circumstances.

I don't use them in camera, but I set the profile in LR.  Usually Mono+R, and Velvia, Classic Chrome with the T1 files.

I use ProNegStd profile a lot for RAWs because great headroom for postprocessing.
When jpegs only, I use Provia or Astia profiles, depends of scene and light. Portraits are better with Astia.
For night shots, ProNegHi works fine for me.
Never was lucky with Velvia - colors too fat, fine details mostly gone. Good for regular vacation shots though.

Velvia is too rich for me as well. For black and white, I often just use the JPEGs, since the X-Pro1 film simulations do a very good job. For colour, I generally use the RAWs, and either Provia or one of the standard Silkypix V7 film colours.

I really dig Pro Neg Std as well, but I run +1 or +2 in the shadows for a little extra contrast. Classic Chrome on the X-Trans II sensors looks good as well.

Velvia for color and Provia usually with Yellow filter for B&W.
