  1. Hi! I invested in a Fujifilm xt3 about 2 months back and the camera has been working great. But around 2 weeks ago the shutter speed and exposure compensation dials stopped working. I was still able to change the shutter speed on the rear command dial but the exposure compensation can not be changed. Don't know if this is because I no longer can set automatic shutter speed or if there is actually something wrong with the button. Today the shutter button also started to have problems. I can no longer focus with it by half pressning down the shutter button. And I can no longer take pictures if the shutter speed is greater than 8000. Did anyone else experience this issue? //Sophie
  2. Hello out there, had anyone have the issue where the shutter speed switches back and forth. It charges rapidly up or down, it does not matter which speed I set it on. Unless the settings are on Auto, B or T, it does not cause this issue. I've updated the firmware, reseting, removed the lens. This is the video of the issue. https://youtu.be/_lYjXbEPCj4
  3. Hi everyone, This is an issue that I need to understand because the price of the repair is almost the price of the Xpro-2. So I'll repair it myself. The issue result : Black pictures with no visual information in post prod (exposure max with raw files etc.) When this happens ? : in conditions of high luminosity with mechanical shutter What are the settings when this happens ? : -Exposure mesure modes- Every ones (spot, multi etc.) -Exposure compensation- Every ones (+-0, +1, -1 etc.) -Aperture modes- wide apertures but sometimes at small apertures (even with High ISO or ISO auto) -Shutter type- mechanical only (and of course M+E when it switch automaticaly to M mode) -Shutter speed- high values from 1/8000 to 1/1000 but sometimes even 1/500 (in some situations it works till 1/1000 and it works in every situation for 1/250 and slower) the A mode sets directly high values in high luminosity. -ISO mode- Every mode and value (even H or L) 5. What did I do to verify if I can fix it ? : reset, format SD cards, update firmware, sensor cleaning, defibillation etc. 6. My question is : is it a shutter issue AND why this works sometimes at 1/500 and even sometimes at 1/1000? . Maybe the shutter is ok but the transmission is not ok between the sensor, the motherboard and the shutter. So the problem may be the sensor or the motherboard. The sychronisation between the sensor and the shutter may be not the same. Indication : the sound speed of the shutter is the same at 1/125 and faster. I've read every post talking about shutter and expostition issues and decided to ask about this special problem. So I hope that someone can help me And help others in the same case. Thanks !
  4. Anyone experience this before? I set a minimum shutter speed to 1/125 yet when I am out shooting and get in a shady spot I notice the camera chooses a shutter speed below my set minimum. When I shoot out and about I am usually at ISO 800-1600 at F8 and Auto shutter. I try to keep the camera shooting at faster shutter speeds by keeping my ISO high. Thanks.
  5. On a couple of YT tutorials for the X-T4 and even on Fujifilm’s site: https://fujifilm-x.com/.../beginner-month-2-exposure-and.../ I’ve seen images of the bottom of the LCD screen showing the 3 shooting levels: Shutter speed, Aperture setting, and ISO. If the aperture is changed, the shutter speed changes on the fly (in Aperture Priority) as it should, but.... regardless of the shooting mode, the X-T4 does not show the Shutter Speed in the LCD as it looks here in this screen shot from the Fuji site: I’m using Fujinon’s XF18-55 and the XF50-140 f/2.8 lenses. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! *UPDATE* I did a "Still Menu Reset" and voilá! I now have all three settings at the bottom of my LCD screen! "SS, F, and ISO A3" .... so thanks for those who tried to help, but now it's solved
  6. What real-time exposure display options are available with manual lenses? I am investigating Fuji, with an X-T1 and a manual lens (no contacts). I want to see what ISO and SS my camera has chosen, with the current lens settings. (I would also like to use program shift to change the ISO/SS combination up or down.) There may just be some setting somewhere that I didn't think applied to this? I have turned on all the display options and have tried the different displays, but no ISO or SS displayed unless I manually set them, or if I depress the shutter [but that's not real-time, as I change the aperture ring]. I have the newest firmware, and I have reset my camera's settings several times, so almost all my settings should be at the defaults. I am very used to Olympus OM-D E-M1. On my OM-D camera, as I reduce the aperture on the lens, I see my ISO 200 / SS 1/30 move, maybe to 200 & 1/15. Then if I move it further, maybe this time it changes the ISO to 400 and keeps the SS at 1/15... but I see it all change as I move the aperture. If there's no clicks then I see it make minute even fractional changes to ISO & SS. Program shift via the front dial will also change the ISO/SS up and down.
  7. Hello, We have an ongoing problem where, we set the camera to manual mode. We set the shutter speed using the dial. However, the camera decides to override our manual setting, and the SS mode (shutter shift), changes our manual shutter speed. For instance, if we manually set the shutter to 500, the shutter shift will automatically change the shutter speed to 125. This is ruining all of our shots, where there is any kind of movement. How can we stop the SS mode from taking over? Here is a video link of an example: https://youtu.be/18ICheC243A
