That is good news, mine has been on pre-order for a month. Lets hope they are still giving away the strap with pre-orders and as rumoured a spare battery for those who ordered before the delay!

I headed out to one of our local viewpoints at the weekend and took the X-Pro1 and lenses. It was very windy and rain was coming and going and I was determined to grab some photos. I used the 56mm to grab the distant light rays breaking through the dark the switched to the 18mm for some shots of the sky rushing across the valley toward where I was. Sorry - it is image heavy but I wanted to show the changing light.

That looks nice, is this the normal 56 or the APD version?

I must agree with all the posts about the X-Pro1, it is a superb camera and here in the UK there were some superb deals so I managed to pick up a brand new X-Pro1 with 18, 27 and Fuji case (I only use the half case) for an amazing price. Effectively I paid for the 2 lenses and got the camera and case free!! I updated firmware to 3.50 and find it performs even better than my X100s so I am one happy bunny! I am so pleased with it that I have just traded in my Micro 4/3rds kit (very little used) and have effectively pre-paid for the X-Pro2 with case, grip, spare battery and a couple of super fast 290mbs cards so this will now become my street / landscape / portrait kit with the DSLR for airshows and sport - an exercise in consolidation and I will keep the X-pro1 as a spare body. I now just have to wait for the camera to arrive in Mar!

A dream is often a desire requiring the determination of the dreamer to make it a reality! Good luck with getting the X-pro1 and I am sure you will not regret it, just make sure you update then firmware to the latest 3.50 it makes a difference.

Nice one Adam, The images speak for themselves and are a great endorsement for the X-pro1. I have been using the X100 series since the original X100, now running the X100s and have been so impressed that when Fuji offered the "Silly sale deals" before Christmas I picked up a brand new X-pro1 with case, 18 & 27mm for £600 so the cost of the lenses equates to more than the camera body and case so a case of "buy two lenses and get a new X-Pro1 and case free". With the latest firmware it is a great performer and the AF is faster and more accurate than even my X100s! I am so pleased with it (it reminds me of my days working as a PJ shooting analogue Leica rangefinders) and is a step up from the Leica M8.2 I used to own that I have traded in my Olympus micro 4/3 kit that has sat in a cupboard and pre-ordered the X-Pro2. It is a very underestimated camera and deals can still be found in a few stores! Great camera that delivers superb IQ and mine is used for street / landscape etc leaving my DSLR for sport / airshows etc.

I agree with Larry, I would rather have a delay and receive a camera that performs as advertised and improves on the pre-production versions used by the 100 "testers" than one that has glitches that need fixes from the start. I am not normally an early adopter but I love the X-Pro1 so much with the latest firmware that the X-Pro2 being an evolution rather than a new camera is a bit of a no brainer.
