Some images I took of my wife when we were out at the weekend, I used the X-Pro2+56mm APD.

There are some superb images in this review and if the AF in the new XT2 exceeds the X-Pro2 then it may be a viable replacement for my full frame with 150-600mm that I use for airshows / car events.

I am in no way a wildlife photographer so apologise to those who are but I wanted to try the X-Pro2 + 55-200mm for some fast / small moving subjects. I ventured down to our local lakes and grabbed some images of birds landing and one in flight, I had the camera set to AFC and to group focus so it presented a nice central area with 9 focus points to lock on and track the birds. The camera / lens were superb and exceeded my expectations and any failures were down to me being too slow and using Aperture priority that at times gave too slow a shutter speed. I do feel comfortable in the ability of this combo to cover events involving fast moving subjects.

I stopped at one of our local allotments and the old quarry works yesterday and grabbed a few images, I took the 55-200 as it is a recent purchase so I wanted to see how it renders the scene and I am very pleased and they work well together, my grip arrives next week and I think this will have an even more positive effect and improve balance even more. This is a superb lens though and the IS is fantastic.

I was in town yesterday and wanted to try this lens / camera combination. I am very happy with the results and the AF was super fast as well as it being very quiet, it was well balanced and a nice pair to use ( I will be sticking to my 35 for street though). Image heavy so apologies.
