  1. Possibly Pre-AF is culprit as well.
  2. Wait... so in the UK those lenses are more expensive than the Canadian price and the cost of the plane ticket?
  3. How do you suppose a battery grip would work? It doesn't support USB charging and there are no contacts for a grip.
  4. In all honesty I don't really care that a 35mm equivalent lens is called 23mm.
  5. Depends on the person. I sold my X-T1 and went back to a Pro1 and do just fine without the tilt screen and bigger EVF. You should be able to find a used x100s for the price you mentioned. A Pro 1 is even cheaper if you already have a lens.
  6. The X70 is proof that having a touchscreen does not mean the removal of the manual controls we like.
  7. The benefit of a left-side viewfinder is that I can have both eyes open when shooting; even with the EVF on even my X-Pro1. I can see what is actually going on with my left eye and check framing through the EVF with my right eye. I usually have mine set to burst so its easy to grab two or three shots of the subject.
  8. 1/125 may not be enough to avoid camera shake on the 56.
  9. Jenn. If you mean macro closeup instead of zoom there is nothing special you need to do. Just move the camera as close as you can until it can no longer focus on the subject. You should be able to get very close.
  10. You're right. People are more interested in the XE3 than the XE4.
  11. There is a shutter count, but its not accurate tot he number of photos because the shutter releases not just when taking a photo, like turning it on and off.
  12. Things that will interfere with he flash Silent mode Electronic shutter Macro mode Burst Bracketing
  13. In the blue bar, the white area on either side of the red line is the approximate size of the in focus area. I say approximate because the edges of the white area won't be as sharp as the red line. Now the size of that white area should be larger at infinity (right side of the blue bar) than at 4" (left side of the blue bar). bear in mind that the 3 on the blue bar means that the subject is 3ft (or meters if you set it to that in the menus) from the camera, not that the dof is 3ft. As someone said, the white area at infinity on the90mm will be smaller than the white area at 27mm. It also explains why you get better isolation the further the subject is from the background. If your camera/lens aren't behaving that way then there is a mechanical issue.
  14. Besides no OVF with hat lens, at 12mm AF really isn't all that important. If you remove AF from the equation its more than fast enough.
  15. I'm still developing that proposal for Fuji. I can't disclose anything yet, but I promise you will be the first to know.
  16. I think so as well which is why I'm helping Fuji by guiding their product developers. You're welcome.
  17. Sure , or not, but nothing will kill interest in the X-E body quicker than the same old sensor. This is all assuming there will be an X-E3.
  18. That or make it behave like the Shutter Speed dial lock.
  19. Touchdcreen doesnt work with most gloves. You need a physical control.
  20. Not at all, press a button or double tap the screen to shown the AF box and then just move your finger on the screen. The AF square will move based on how far you move your finger.
  21. The XE3 will never have all of the top tier camera features, it and the XT11 will be less expensive for a reason. They should have the new sensor/processor which means joystick (possibly touchscreen as well) and the current design language has screen on the left and all buttons on the right.
  22. I have one of the very inexpensive BBK-3 bags. It has held up well for the two years I've owned it.
  23. It opens the aperture to maximum while getting focus. If it didn't, then getting focus in low light would be very hard.
