Is it the 'AF Beep Volume' which you can turn off in Sound Settings? Have you tried turning off all of the sounds?

Which lens? Is it one of the zooms like the 55-200 with an Auto/Aperture switch?

You can turn off the touch screen, and if you press and hold the lever you can adjust its setting.

Your might be using a filter which has its glass too close to the lens.

I would skip the S and get a T because it had various ergonomic and viewfinder improvements.

You can't use the front/rear dial to control aperture on a lens with an aperture ring. However, what you can do is control shutter speed which then will affect your aperture. To do this, set your camera to program mode with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO on Auto.

Push the lever on the front towards the lens and you will get a small EVF patch in the OVF. You can have the EVF focusing aides there.

Use your exposure compensation dial.

If Viltrox says that it is compatible, then it's compatible. The original issue was that they used a full frame lens mount which was larger diameter than the XF mount; that extra overhang was what scraped anginas the collar. They probably used a XF diameter lens mount to fix the issue.

The OP is referring to displaying the entire view at less than 100% for people with glasses who can't see the entire frame, similar to what the T1 and T2 do.

I used the T1 as an example of a camera that displays five magnification levels on the EVF. My Pro2 can display three levels of magnification on the EVF. Regular shooting, and two for MF. There is no reason why Fuji couldn't add an option to display the EVF at say 90% magnification to help glasses wearers..

Firmware could address it in the same way that the T1 (and I'm assuming T2) had two levels of magnification plus picture in picture on the same physical EVF screen. In addition, all of the cameras have several levels of EVF magnification when in MF mode.

They're all going to be about the same.

If I am walking around taking pictures I don't want to have to remove my glasses each time I take a photo; especially if the photo opportunities happen quickly. I noticed the same issue with the T1 when the EVF was set to the largest magnification, and my solution was to move the camera slightly with it up to my eye.

Having had all three generations of cameras, the Pro2 (and by extension T2) does not have the waxy skin tone problem from the X100S/T generation cameras. I moved from a Pro1 to T1 and sold the T1 in a month after encountering that issue; happily went back to my Pro1. The new cameras have the added benefit of being usable up to 12800 where my Pro1 was suable up to 6400.

The only alternative to the ISO dial is auto ISO.

I agree about the view modes and I really wish Fuji would let us customize which ones we want. Given that choice I would have Eye Sensor and EVF+Eye Sensor.

What is better about the X100S when compared to the X100T?

I bought a used Pro2 & 35f2 for the price of a new XT2...so that's my answer.

IMO one of the best features of the Lensmate is that rubber bumper that rests against the body. You should try add that.
