Making prints from Fuji X-Trans files
artistgonewalkabout replied to rsimko's topic in General Discussion
So here's a question for the technically minded of you. Is there a difference between the print size that can be achieved from a raw file as opposed to a jpeg? The RAF files are so much larger, is it simply that way the data is stored/compressed or will/can it make a difference with the final possible print size? -
the two sides of sunset. same beach, same time, opposite ends of the beach. X-T1, XF 35mm, jpegs sooc except for a tiny contrast adjustment.

XT-1 and Pentax 55mm f1.8 wide open this lens produces amazing bokeh but is not particularly sharp so the files benefit from a little more aggressive sharpening than usual and then become quite usable. This image processed from a raw file with only sharpening applied, no other adjustments.
