Mike G reacted to Warren in Shutter button came off ?
Spoke to Fuji repair in Edison, NJ. Camera has arrived. The woman answering the phone was super cool. Gave me a reference number and told me that I could call anytime and that she understood the separation anxiety...

I think you will find that Peak Design call them "anchors".

Mike G reacted to Mac Sinclair in Fuji 80mm macro and all rounder?
Clearly 1:1 will be better than my 60, but I was thinking the OIS and the shallower depth of field may make it a competitor for the 56mm for portraits, better bokeh maybe and from calcs the same depth of field as a 56 at f1.2 at 3m. Just hope it's not huge and heavy.

Mike G reacted to milandro in Video really needs to be top priority for Fuji
To this I replied what Eppscot thought concerned him
“........Well, this is part of “ the problem” as the video tribe probably sees it.
There isn’t one (VIDEOCAMERA), yet, based around Fuji X lenses.
Since they have now made their expensive video lenses to fit the X system, this could be mean that they are working toward producing a dedicated video camera (only) , since it would be not very wise to put very expensive lenses on camera that have all the limitations of the video function of the still photography cameras by Fuji.
I would certainly welcome that move so, the rest of us, would be rid of all these additional problems created by this uncomfortable coexistence in one body.

Mike G reacted to Neil_42 in I'm going to buy the X-T2, need some advice
You have made a good decision. The one lens that you might consider in addition to the 18-135 (which I own and love) is the 10-24. Very sharp, and the widest lens Fuji makes. If landscapes are a specialty of your wife, she would love this lens.

Andrew, yes I own an 18-135mm, I don't see sharpness a problem. It has a very useful focal length range and hence it is a versatile lens, also the OIS helps.

why do you need to hook the camera with a cable?
If you use a card reader and read the card with it, the pictures will be opened and recognized.

amazing shots! Would you mind to share some details on how you took them? Were you hiding behind a blind or on a high stand?

I have both the leash and the slide lite. I found that I use the leash more, more compact and packable.

Adam, I don't own any of the X-Pro cameras and so only dipped in and out of your epic! Very well done you deserve a VG Tick for all that effort!
