After having tried the 90mm in a shop and quite literally weighed the pros and cons I found this lens way too heavy for me. The 56 is not too heavy but certainly is big. I am aware that my perspective might be very different for others, especially the one of young photographers who often, I find, have a very physical approach to photography. The reason why I was originally attracted to the system was the lightweight of it all. I have never been really big on digital cameras compared to film where I have had many types and sizes and models of almost anything, but after a couple of very heavy digital Canons and the Nikon of a friend used when I was still professionally active, I wasn’t going to have anything like that for fun. Maybe I have taken a slightly different direction since then ( adaptive photography which is heavy and slow) but that has mainly a meditative way of working as opposed to the autofocus lenses.

Xpro1 still worth buying? (06.15)
milandro replied to drb's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
well, sooner or later it won’t, the last “ update” were purely technical http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xpro1/history.html -
swivel trigger clip - strap
milandro replied to jomagofa's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
I think something like this should work well ( you will need to adapt at least one side to your strap) -
Yes, it has been observed by many before ( there are a couple of threads already open on this forum on this matter) that Fuji has a strange strategy when it comes to lens hoods AND filter sizes. Few lenses have interchangeable filter size not to mention having odd sizes such as 39mm for the 60mm. After trying to put up with the lens hoods I did some work myself. The 35mm 1.4, as you say, is really awkward but it is very easy to find a substitute and, for just a few €, I bought it in China somewhere, possibly Aliexpress, this comes with a cap too http://it.aliexpress.com/item/2-in-1-Details-about-52-MM-Metal-Curved-vented-Lens-Hood-for-Leca-Lens-Cap/32318300259.html?spm=2114.010208.3.28.9ZxcmI&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_1,searchweb201644_4_10001_10002_10005_301_10006_10003_10004_62,searchweb201560_2,searchweb1451318400_6149,searchweb1451318411_6449 I did the same with the 18-55 ( I don’t like petal hoods) and bought a 58mm vented hood. The 60mm require a more complex approach, so it needs a 39mm filter used as spacer (you can take the filter out if you so wish) then there is a step up ring 39-52 and then there is a 52mm cylindrical hood. A lens cap to match. But yes, I guess it is now too late but someone should really look at the practicality of these things.

New Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Dilemma

you must buy! Support Fuji! -
Well, videos only say something concerning things happening then and there. What happened later or in another instance is not known. There is also a video of someone dipping camera and lens briefly ( the guy says the camera still works but he didn’t show a video before and after). However we KNOW that the X-T1 has a problem with some of the doors which bend in time, if a camera has a bent door, water will penetrate inside and fry the camera. So, rain might or might not be a problem. However there are camera “ capes” to protect one’s camera if necessary. I don’t walk in the rain, with or without camera.

New Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Dilemma
milandro replied to Fred4hp's topic in Fuji X Lenses
Nice to see that there are folks out there supporting Fuji to their outmost, stimulating the sales of their most expensive gear. These are the people who make possible for Fuji to be still producing cheap gear for the rest of us who only dream of these things. Me, I am a cheapskate! -
swivel trigger clip - strap
milandro replied to jomagofa's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
rings are nice ( and Fuji provides also a free set next to the triangles ) , but they are murder to put in and out onto the camera. If I understand what OP wants he wants a system to quickly put a strap on and take it off at will -

the only company which has had any go at autofocus lenses was Zeiss and they might update their lenses or develop some new ones or abandon the Fuji X system altogether. My crystal ball is cloudy. http://www.fujirumors.com/game-over-for-the-zeiss-touit-lenses-no-more-touits-this-year-and-maybe-not-even-in-2016/ I doubt that other third party makers would be jumping on making autofocus lenses for Fuji, Sigma appears not to. http://www.fujirumors.com/new-source-unveils-why-sigma-will-not-make-x-mount-lenses-and-what-fuji-did-wrong-according-to-sigma/ -
swivel trigger clip - strap
milandro replied to jomagofa's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
Are you sure you want to use something as crude a system as swivel trigger clips? Putting metal onto metal ( unless you want to risk plastic) will certainly scratch your camera. I'd much rather use something like this. Good luck! https://www.etsy.com/it/listing/128084641/paracord-clips-replacement-pack-paracord?ref=market -
