50% of the profits is copy products, that’s what is financing the company activities right now. As for photography, the the most profit they make is on instant film and instant cameras... High end mirrorless makes some money, low end camera segment, is losing some money. http://asia.nikkei.com/Markets/Tokyo-Market/Fujifilm-profit-seen-6-brighter-on-instant-camera-sales "The future challenge for Fujifilm is to nurture the next growth business while its document solutions segment earns solid profits,"

Wooden thumb-grip and shutter release for Fuji-cameras
milandro replied to milandro's topic in Other Fuji X Accessories
indeed, there is a number of industrious people out there eager to provide us with accessories. If you look around, especially makers from Thailand, are offering convenient handmade accessories. -
A friend of mine and I want to quickly digitize slides ( just for viewing purposes). Any experiences that you like to share about doing this on an aps-c camera ( not other formats) ? Have you tried one of these Hama or Opteka slide copiers which you attach to a zoom lens, perhaps the 18-55? They seem to have a +10 dioptric lens ( not sure if it has more elements or it is one lens only). Not interested in scanners. Takes too long. I have seen a number of possible solutions, one is a Panagor tube but I wonder how this would work on an aps-c since it was originally meant for 24 x 26mm cameras. Could this work if used with a turbo adapter? I’d like to see some examples taken by anyone who has done this kind of thing.

Special dioptric correction lenses can be fabricated by any good optician. -
Camera remote for Android unable to transfer images
milandro replied to zedd137's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
X-T1 old and not so smart LG phone , which appears to work, well aside from losing signal, every now and again, but I can control the camera from remote and download pics on the phone. Latest version of the app? -
but maybe you have a friend there who can bid for you? Maybe even someone here? You have 9 hours still...hope and persevere!

New Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Dilemma
milandro replied to Fred4hp's topic in Fuji X Lenses
Well, I’d buy that cheap adapter anyway and see how the Canon fares with it. It pretty much comes down to how important it is to have a lens which operates quickly, or not. If the latter suffices and you are happy with it, and you won’t succumb to mere gear acquisition syndrome induced by all the talk around new and expensive lenses that one must have to stand and be counted, you might save a lot of money and be happy spending it on some other more or less important things. -

Swiss screws are very thoroughly applied.one by one, patiently, then there would be an enquiry on how this incredible dissatisfactory malfuction could happen, but yes, it is, after all, only a Japanese product gone are the glorious day of Alpa Pignons. Seriously though, here too, Fuji labs in Germany, take forever even for something as simple as that!

I would say it is a big issue and you need to send back the camera again

X-pro2 launch, keep or sell your x-pro1?
milandro replied to drb's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
but in case you want to print a really large print, you would already be prepared for that remote but always possible event! -
well, mine is the 100 f4 but the 50 is also nice these were almost forgotten lenses until everyone started looking for them since the explosion of the adapters with the mirrorless cameras making adaptive photography a whole lot easier

X-pro2 launch, keep or sell your x-pro1?
milandro replied to drb's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Be prepared! I know the motto, I have been a scout and probably you were one too . I have already told the tale of an advertising agency which once asked me to shoot a 4" x 5” picture of their building, then I was asked to have it scanned in the highest possible resolution and THEN they published the picture in a brochure ( they moved a couple of years after and never used the pic again) only a few centimeters wide. Of course one has to prepare...,but one can be prepared and ready... waiting for something which will never come. ! Waiting for Godot In Italian there is a very nice phrase, to bandage one’s head before one breaks it. There is no need for a rational explanation to want to buy the latest of anything. Be prepared anyway. Bandage is, however, cheap. Getting 24Mp, if you’ll never use them, is not. Enjoy your new camera! -

Ok a few examples to make comparisons the balcony balustrade is harp the left side, on the lichens patch, closest to the camera.
