Not that language is so important... I suppose you now mean lens, when you write lense just as much as you meant sensor when you wrote sense. Anyway. I suppose that you realize that the 27mm allows you to shoot a wider field than the 35mm. The 27 is more suited to action images shot at close quarters. The 27mm is also a lens where you set the aperture by means of a selection wheel on the camera body and it is not weather resistent while you say that you are buying a camera body which features one of the most important differences with the X-T10 precisely in being Weather Resistant ( there are also other differences which I consider minor compared to this). Now a camera body which is Weather Resistant wouldn’t be of much use, in terms of weather resistance, if you couple it with a non weather resistant lens. The 35mm captures a narrower field , it is better suited to portraits that the 27 would be, has a traditional aperture control and is weather resistant. They are different lenses.

practice safe shooting use a condom! despite someone having tried it, condoms don’t make a good “protection” with cameras, but some folks do nice things with cling film

Spent 36 hours trying to understand what’s best for you? Some of us have spent more than half their lives dealing with photography and are still trying to make sense of it all. I have been at this game for almost 40 years now and still buy things and revise my choices after a while. There is no substitute for direct experience. After that everything has been said, then something needs to be done. I think you’ve read everything that anyone could possibly tell you. The rest you have to see and decide for yourself. Why don’t you go to the shop and play around with cameras? Aside for the X pro 2, which will take some time to appear on the shelves, everything is there. You seem to be wanting to jump on the bandwagon while this is running and you want to do it apparently with a splash, you must have your reasons, but there is not much more that anyone can tell you to make you sway one way or the other. Good Luck!

I’d like to abandon the personality clashes and focus, if I may, on an underexposed aspect of this new camera. Apparently, according to FR, the new wide angle will have a wide angle adapter , the WCL-X70. I think this is a nice touch and it possibly might mean that this is really a camera to be put next to your X100S or T to provide one or two wide angle options. This adapter WCL-X70, actually makes a lot of sense because the X70 would cost a lot of money if it would just deliver, for the owner of a X-100S or T more or less the same focal length that one could acquire (at half the price of a new camera) with a WCL-X100.

Buy X-T1 now or wait for the X-T2 next summer?
milandro replied to Argus42's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
Hello @Vitobrus welcome and thanks, it is all fine and dandy, however most people here won’t understand a word. Despite Italian being my first and native language and understanding all you wrote, you better use English on this forum. Here we use English as a language, elsewhere they use Italian. http://www.fujiclubitalia.com/website/ipforum/ -
Paded insert to fit carry-on bag?
milandro replied to rafikiphoto's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
there are DIY solutions mostly involving the use of the Calumet rolling bag dividers. https://www.calphoto.co.uk/product/Calumet-Inserts-for-Rolling-Camera-Case/RM2201 https://fstoppers.com/gear/diy-diy-30-rolling-camera-bag-3128 http://cheesycam.com/diy-padded-camera-roller-bag-adjustable-dividers/ -
X-A1 vs X-A2
milandro replied to TheHobbit's topic in Fuji X-M1 / Fuji X-A1 / Fuji X-A3 / Fuji X-A5 / Fuji X-A7 / Fuji X-A20
1 yes 2 yes, no Buying the X-A1 gives you the same camera with the sole exception of the LCD screen. Personally I wouldn’t be interested in selfies. In my part of the world the first model can be found very cheap secondhand. Having said that. While the X-A certainly gives you the possibility to familiarize yourself with the fuji camera system, is not in the same category of other cameras. You can buy a X-E1 new or secondhand for very little money and have a camera with a viewfinder, which you will discover it will help you not only when there is a lot of sunlight but also to hold the camera differently with a consequent higher image stability. Good luck! -
believe it or not I do other things too ( have you seen my test on the lens turbo by the way)

then the real fights will really start! ninja!

I car read that you are very much a beginner. The camera that you’ve mentioned all have the same size sensor but the X pro 2 will have more pixels. This, in theory will give you more possibility to make gigantic prints, if that is what you are going to do... most people I know don’t even ever print anything close to the largest possible size of the cameras they own. Besides the pixel count the newer X pro 2 will have some improvement on all the other X cameras but I am quite sure that at your stage of photographic development these won’t be of any use to you! Low light performance is one of the characteristics that all Fuji X cameras share!

what darknj said. With the exception of... The 23mm 27mm combo was only ever offered by B&H for a short while, you are very much more likely to find (at that price that he mentions, in €...) the 18mm 27mm combo. http://www.kamera-express.nl/product/12206099/fujifilm-x-pro1-xf-18mm-f-2-0-xf-27mm-f-2-8-lc-xpro1-luxe-lederen-tas/ I never understood buying the 23 and the 27 together, too close to one another.

that would be the more complex method I was referring above...

According what you are telling us, no, it isn’t! At least it isn’t in the situation which you are shooting. Have you tried to shoot next to sundown? 3 sec should be plenty, if the water moves fast, you want to get an even longer shot for slow flowing water. are you sure it isn’t one of those variable filters and you are using it in a position that doesn’t reduce the amount of light? Some of those filters are strange because they produce and interference pattern appearing as a “ cross” in the EVF or on the LCD. have you ever watched this kind of tutorials? @https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpr1SNFS6Cc @https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHArQyx0bF8 @https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r7ugA9krG0

but... since you are learning and unless you want to shed big bucks on the latest system simply because it is the latest system. Ask yourself what would the new generation do for you that the “ old” wouldn’t, since it has done and keeps on doing it for so many pro users until next week? You can pick up a X pro 1 witha 18 and a 27 for a little more of HALF the probable price of the X pro 2 without any lens. You can pick up a secondhand X-E2 in a few days with a 18-55 for even less than that. Why would you want to run now when you first have to learn to walk? Spending big money on a box won’t help you find chops in it.

Because they reduce the amount of light entering the camera by means of a filter, either a ND ( Neutral Density) with a reduction between 8 to 10 stops or a crossing two polarizers. There are other ways but it makes shooting pics a lot more problematic like mounting shots together. Many places on line where you can learn both techniques. https://iso.500px.com/taking-long-exposure-photos-without-a-tripod-or-nd-filters/ https://www.slrlounge.com/long-exposure-photography-without-using-a-filter/

the Fuji perspective is clear but there is a difference in selling the Kaizen as a plus and then doing this sneaky trick after talking of their dedication to customers. Again, I am sure that this was a pickle of their own creation when they decided to introduce the X-T10 at a lower price than the X-E2 had been and then dragging their feet with any update.
