So Excited!!!

After months and months of being without my "don't leave home without it lens" the Fuji 18-55, and only having used primes, today I finally found a brand new one online which I just ordered!  I am so excited!  I love my primes, but the 18-55 is just so darn convenient!  Am I right?!

 

I just loved my copy -- unfortunately one of my kids "borrowed" it with my X-T1 and I've yet to get it back so enough waiting...  Price was right;  Brand new US model, Bought it!

I like my 18-55 too, but it could be better. If only it was 16-55. It's just not quite wide enough to cover my landscape requirement. The 16-55 f2.8 is also sub optimal for me - just too big and heavy and an f2.8 aperture is not necessary. If Fuji made a 16-55 f4, constant aperture with IS, that was somewhere between the two existing lenses in size and weight I would be happy.

 

Test the lens straight away. I have a friend who had a bad copy. He was probably just unlucky but it may be that the quality control on this lens is not all it might be.

I never leave home without mine either. I have used it a lot and been very happy with the results.

Get the 16-50 f/3.5-5.6 then.
