I went for it. Amazing improvement. Battery seemed to run down a bit faster but not 100% sure about this yet.

 

autofocus on 35mm is amazing improvement, worth it. I'm sure it is not beta.

previously if u join fuji events, some of the manager got a week ahead firmware....he was so nice to upgrade for u using his memory card before u end of  the event,

No major/noticeable focus speed improvements for the XF14mm or XF27mm lenses.

 

No problems seen so far.

 

Nice to finally have the exposure compensation in "manual" mode, just like the X100T!

Not only genuine Fuji lenses seems to have improved. The new firmware dramatically speeds up the Zeiss Touit 50mm Macro. Especially for non Macro distances!

Hi guys!

 

Just tested three lenses:

10-24mm - didn`t tested AF-C+Wide/Tracking yet, but Single point and Zone are really fast. (it was fast because of wide angle and hyperfocal distance, but now it is just got blazing fast)

23mm   -  less(or almost No) hunting in single AS-S+Single point mode (at 1.4 in dim light). Overall sensitivity boost (0.5EV) helps I guess.

50-140mm - actually it was ok before, but now even better at all AF-C modes. Also, looking for eye detection testing this evening in the studio.

Do you think, that this FW v.4 is final release which will be available at Fuji site 25 june or later. Or you think it is final version but Fuji keeps it till 25-th in order to increase X-T10 selling? So is it marketing issue or technical?

Who knows if it is a Fuji leak, but it would be  brilliant way to distribute it and not have to pay for the bandwidth from the CDN’s!
