My Fuji 16-80 lens is not sharp

I struggle to get any sharp pictures with the lens. Firmware 1.05. Compared to my 18-55, this lens is just crisper, with or without zooming in. 

Is it possible to send a lens back to Fuji for re calibration? It is about 4 years old in good condition

I use this lens a lot.........never have any issues with sharpness.  That being said, I've been on the fence about trading up to the new 16-55 II, more so because it's brighter.

my 16-60 was sharp enough at 16 .  Noticebly soft at 80.
From 50 and up I would notice lack of sharpness.
I ended up trading it for a Tamron 17-70 .
I know... I know..... sounds crazy ..... but in my opinion this lens is sharper.

I used to have the 16-80. Not the sharpest lens in the toolbox but sharp enough for most things. It's focal range is perfect for a one lens outing, but remember it's a 5 to 1 zoom and you can't expect razor sharp in a zoom with that range. I now have the 16-55 mk2. It's very sharp and a bonus for me when I am using my converted x-t2 is that it works well in infra red. The 16-80 is soft in IR.
