Hi all,

I am looking to purchase the X100T this weekend, seeing as holiday seasons are upon us, it may be the perfect choice for me to take out and about with me rather than my X-T1. However I've seen that the X100 line up is refreshed every year or so. Seeing as its been a year since the release of the X100T are we expecting a newer successor soon? I'd hate to purchase only to see a release early next year.

Thanks

The X100T is about one year old right now. If Fuji follows the same cycle from before, a new version is due in 6 to 10 months. That could go along with the rumors that the X-Pro2 is coming in January, I expect the next X100 series camera to have the same, hopefully new sensor and some other improvements.

Although, if you like the X100 series, the X100T is a great camera, so if it's the right camera concept for you, go ahead and don't wait, current discounts are pretty good.

Other than giving it an X mount (interchangeable lenses) I find it perfect as it is now. I don't need 24MP as it means smaller pixel sensors, thus less dynamic range and native ISO. The 16MP sensor gives me gorgeous 22x14 prints that are as large as I can find walls to hang them.
