  1. LOL! Manuals are pathetic, aren't they? And make no mistake, Fuji's are no worse than other brands. The only one that made a little sense was the one for the Nikon FM2. Can't wait for the R. Pfilstiger book (115 tips...) to come out but by then I'm pretty sure I'll know the nuances of the camera. Yesterday I fumbled with it for half an hour until I found how to zoom the ERF (press on the rear dial while it's showing).
  2. One of the first shots with my X-Pro2. Fujinon 35/1.4.
  3. Thanks guys! I cannot even find that info in the "friendly manual". Just as redundant info, where is it?

  5. Other than giving it an X mount (interchangeable lenses) I find it perfect as it is now. I don't need 24MP as it means smaller pixel sensors, thus less dynamic range and native ISO. The 16MP sensor gives me gorgeous 22x14 prints that are as large as I can find walls to hang them.
  6. The focus speed and accuracy of the X-Pro1 is patethic compared to the dual Contrast+Phase Detection of the X100T and the XE-2. Also, the lack of the electronic range finder of the newer models hinders the manual focus mode. I have the three of them but will put the X-Pro1 and X-E2 on the block as soon as the successor (X-Pro2?) hits the stores. Also, the +/-2 EV comp is insufficient in many real life situations. In any case, 4/5 of the time I shoot with the X100T which, save for the fixed lens, is a perfect camera. The X-Pro2 should be an X100T with interchangeable lenses, period. Who needs 24MP anyway? I don't know anyone who actually prints larger than 16x20 in any case. If you need that, get a full frame camera, plenty out there.
  7. I got my first Fuji X (a used X-E1 somebody couldn't handle) just to have a digital platform for my Leica glass. As soon as I experienced the crop factor and the hit or miss focusing, and seeing the results of the kit 18~55/2.8-4, I sold the E1 at a profit and found me an X-E2 and -a few weeks ago- an X-Pro1 at a super price. I've substituted most of my Leica glass with three Fujinons. Farewell Leica!
  8. Hi folks! I'm an old photographer clicking away since age 13 when I got my first camera as a Xmas present 55 years ago; a Kodak Brownie Six-20. Since then I've used an eclectic succession of cameras that included my old man Leica IIIf, sixties era 35mm SLR's, 6x6 TLR's, Nikon SLR's, MF SLR's, View cameras and Leica M's; dutifully processing both B&W and color since the mid-sixties until I finally succumbed to the instant gratification of the digital systems. My darkroom has been mainly gathering dust for a decade and so my film gear. Nowadays I shoot mainly with a pair of X cameras, an X-Pro1 and an X-E2 but also intermix a small Panasonic LX100 (my fourth down the line since the LX3) as it is my always at hand camera. I also shoot occasionally with my FX Nikon DSLR but that's rapidly becoming a thing of the past since the practical aspects and results from the Fujis have relegated the 20Lb backpack to the closet. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here in order to use my Fuji X gear at its maximum potential; many extraordinary accomplished photographers in this forum! You are welcome to drop me a critique or a line at my old Photo.Net gallery or send me a friendship request at my FB wall. I'll be thankful for your friendship. Regards from Mexico! Jorge.
