  1. Ok, now we have sports, landscape etc… Where's weddings?
  2. Part of the news assignment. X100S, small flash under the ramp, SOOC
  3. I have both XFs you mentioned, 35 and 23. For me, the 35s FOV is rather boring; 23, on the other hand, renders incredibly beautiful photographs. But it's all just a matter of personal preference: I know a lot of photographers who absolutely adore that 35mm Fujinon.
  4. Sounds like a good idea, but (and it's a big BUT!)… it seems that FR readers are from all over the globe. "Buy & Sell" section works best with location-specific forums. Oh well, maybe we can have many location specific Buy & Sell subforums? (one for Asia, one for Europe, one for US/Canada, etc)
  5. Most likely it will be months before I get into another project that justifies renting MF camera with a LS lens, so I cannot provide any examples yet. But it's relatively easy to imagine. Lessay, you are panning your lens while tracking the subject. Upon opening, the leaf shutter represents an aperture – going all the way from f/infinity to f/working and back. As a result, you have a really cool shift of DOF, diffraction artifacts, weird fringes at specular highlights etc, etc, etc. Very unique look. I dearly miss it.
  6. I have no idea what kind of traffic/storage limitations you have here, but have a look at Picturefill or Retina.js powered solutions too (2048px is the new XGA, and photography related forum needs to be Retina ready). Maybe you can lift a 500kb UL limitation, too?…
  7. Probably. Likely. But the leaf shutter introduces its own, very unique, motion artifacts. Slow speed rear sync combined with the leaf shutter artifacts makes for a really interesting look.
  8. Doing great folks, keep it up! Fuji X-T1, 10-24/4, large octabox. SOOC.
  9. I had a high slim hope that it will have a leaf shutter. Oh well…
  10. Never thought of Xena during the shoot, actually. Model has a nickname "Gadget Hackwrench"
  11. Perhaps it works on thumbnails (which are desperately trying to be square, btw), but the main image in the gallery seems to be unresized.
  12. From the album: Test

    Testing forum's ImageMagick engine.

Here we combine theory and practice…
  14. Just uploaded the first photo. From the looks of it, you're using GD or GD2. I highly suggest switching to ImageMagick for your main image processing engine.
  15. Here you can post your night photographs (done with Fuji X cameras, of course!) This includes all kinds of night photography, from night portraiture to star trails and even time lapse. To prime the topic: Fuji X-T1, 55-200, 3 small strobes. Minimal post processing.
  16. I have an idea. Let's croudfund a Fuji-specific dissection lab!
  17. For some reason, I find "Sakura" on the train's nose very touching
  18. I suggest adding a subforum about RAW developers. And maybe another one – for adapted MF lenses and adaptors in general (generic, Leica, Metabones etc).
