    As far as I know you can’t change this behaviour with an update. Use an editing software to combine the files. Perhaps you can merge them on your computer using a shell command, too (works sometimes, depending on the operating system and the underlying disc‘s format).

    Does it stop recording after 3 to 5 minutes or is it just splitting the files (which would be normal)?

    In many cases this problem was caused by some dirt or dust on the sensor of the EVF

    Perhaps you activated the electronic shutter. Using a flash needs the mechanical shutter.
