Welcome here. For comparision of the lenses‘ sharpness you should put them to the same aperture. Also, the depth of field using f/1.4 is very shallow and we don‘t know the focussing point. What are the other settings you were using (shutter time , ISO)?

The pins should retract when pulling the bracket out. Try different positions of the screw and some wiggling.

I see a tightening screw on your photo. I assume you loosened it to remove the bracket?

Sounds like a corrupted file system on the SD card, or a hardware failure of the flash storage. There are repair tools that sometimes can salvage lost photos (at least some of them). Write protect the card before doing anything with it and don‘t use it in the camera anymore.
