  1. Welcome to our forum, Bob!
  2. Since she could tell which display is operative I‘ve assumed there were some information on the display. But I might be wrong.
  3. Did you remove the cap from the lens? Which lens are you using?
  4. Check if you are using the mechanical shutter. Electronic shutter will prevent flashing.
  5. Hello and welcome, Fuji has pulled the update, take a look at this thread:
  6. You’re welcome, I’m glad that you figured it out.
  7. When you‘re activating the wifi on the camera a menu will appear, showing the last connected device. From there you setup another device and / or change the connected device. You can’t comnect two devices at the same time.
  8. IIRC you have to change the smartphone connection if you‘re connecting ro a different device.
  9. M means manual focus. Switch it to C oder S for autofocus (C continous, S single). I‘m not sure if the lens has a switch on its own, check it, too.
  10. Does the X-T30 have a front switch for selcting the lens mode like the X-T3 does? If yes male sure it‘s not set to m(anual).

    XF 50 1.2

    Welcome! It‘s an f/2 lens, not f/1.2
  12. Welcome here! Which lens are you using?
  13. Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear of all the trouble. Hope in the end all will get sorted out.
  14. Make sure you are using the mechanical shutter. The flash won‘t work with the electronic shutter.
  15. Ok, I think I‘m understanding. Thx for the explanation.
  16. Welcome to our forum! Why would you need exposure compensation in manual mode?
  17. Remove the battery (and the charger) and wait for some minutes. Then reinstall the battery and try again.
  18. There seems to be a problem with your computer. You should write protect the SD card before inserting it into the reader. And do a malware check, something on your computer is destructively writing to your card which is unusual.
  19. Welcome. Since this is an international forum give us a translation, please.
  20. Yes, the X-S10 like all Fuji cameras controls the lenses electronically. And I assume the Canon EF is also an elctronic one, but the electronics aren't compatible (even if the connectors would fit). You'd need an "intelligent" adapter, these exist for some combinations but cost quite a lot of money.
  21. Welcome here! It depends if the aperture of the lens is set mechanically or electronically. In the first case you need an adapter with an aperture ring. In the second case there only a few combinations of cameras, adapters and lenses which work together.
  22. Hopefully you can return the lens
  23. Do some more attemps charging the battery. And make sure to use a fitting charger (IIRC it should be a 1A charger). The battery is probalby not dead but totally / deeply discharged.
  24. Let the Shop check the camera if it's still not working.
  25. Look for corrosion and try very carefully to clean the contacts. Do the same on the camera side, but be even more careful not to touch the sensor. Was the camara used, too? Would be good to test another lens so you could rule out where the problem lies.
