  1. Welcome here! It depends if the aperture of the lens is set mechanically or electronically. In the first case you need an adapter with an aperture ring. In the second case there only a few combinations of cameras, adapters and lenses which work together.
  2. Hopefully you can return the lens
  3. Do some more attemps charging the battery. And make sure to use a fitting charger (IIRC it should be a 1A charger). The battery is probalby not dead but totally / deeply discharged.
  4. Let the Shop check the camera if it's still not working.
  5. Look for corrosion and try very carefully to clean the contacts. Do the same on the camera side, but be even more careful not to touch the sensor. Was the camara used, too? Would be good to test another lens so you could rule out where the problem lies.
  6. Maybe a problem with rhe connection of the lens. Did you buy a new or a used one?
  7. Check the setting of „Auto Power Mode“ and set it to off.
  8. Yeah, was a 2020 survey. We'll close this and perhaps start a new one later.
  9. Check the setting of the picture format, should be 3:2.
  10. Strange. Did you try different SD cards, perhaps it‘s an writing speed issue?
  11. Welcome to our forum! But I don't see an attached photo.
  12. Welcome to our forum, you‘ve got yourself a nice camera!
  13. I‘m using a lot of manul lenses with different cameras, including Fuji, and I still don’t understand your issue. Stopping down ‚a bit‘ means f5.6 or 8 for me at normal daylight conditions. But even when using f18 and above under rare circumstances, after adjusting the exposure time there is no problem seeing the subject and adjusting the focus.
  14. Why would one take a photo with f22 under normal circumstances? I‘m not sure I‘m understanding your problem.
  15. No, I don‘t. Just have used similar lenses with mixed results. In my opinion a lot of experience snd patience ist needed to use them. That doesn‘t mean I think you‘re doing something wrong or have wrong expectations, but some people definitively do (such as me doing the first F1.x shots). I can‘t give an definitive opinion regarding your lens. If you‘re not satisfied with it you should get it checked.
  16. With a fully opened F1.2 lens you will in most cases get a softening effect and bad corner sharpness. Many photographers love and use this effect for portrait photography. For other photography one better uses a more closed lens. You are right that the bad autofocus can be a result of the softness.
  17. Since there is an area if sharpness it seems that the focus point was there. The blurrines might result from the alignment of the object. As I mentioned above, F1.2 gives you a very shallow field of death. Try F5.6 for a start. But maybe you’re right and the lens is defective.
  18. I‘m using different lenses. I‘m not really sure that your photos are out of focus.
  19. Did you unpack the firmware file from the download?
  20. What aperture setting did you use? Did you consider that the depth of field is very narrow with an open F1.2 lens?
  21. Welcome to our forum - and good luck 🙂
  22. What kind of charger do you use? Recently I had an issue with another Fuji model and a 2 Ampere charger. Switched to a 1 Ampere charger and it loaded properly. Second possibility is a faulty usb cable.
