  1. Try taking out the emptied battery out and put the freshly charged one in its place. Voilas! The reds aren't coming anymore. For the price of three more batteries you will obtain that heavenly peace of mind!... Isn't it worth a little expence?...
  2. After a long struggle - CC... however I'm certain that my first immediate decision would be #2 - 'cause I'm such a sucker for jucier frames...
  3. Images of rural America. Mendocino, CA.
  4. Oh Lord!...
  5. Оn rare occasions touchscreen might be useful... yet I wouldn't base my decision of bying a camera on the fact it's got the touchscreen. That's a low priority for me. As to 9.V.III comments, I would guess he is very young and... how should I put it politely... sounds somewhat excessively opinionated. But that's OK. It will pass in time. Peace.
  6. Try what you can with the tools you've got. First, provide plentiful light. Second, step back and zoom in as much as your lens allows to frame the object. Keep in mind the possibility to trim the picture if necessary. Set your aperture to a min (say, 11 or 16). Shoot. Crop. See if you're satisfied. If not, explore the prices for the tilt shift lenses and adaptors... or make a smaller sculpture...
  7. Looks to me like white balance doesn't jive with the light source. Shifted to blue.
  8. It's kinda personal, ain't it. Some people are quite content with rubber while the others are totally against it...
  9. Thank you gregor_24, thank you Vidalgo! Now it worked. I figure, the first time around it didn't 'cause I would start typing FUJINON, and there was no dropdown list to choose from. My bad. Thanks again!
  10. Vidalgo: The form https://fujifilm.registria.com/reg is asking for both Model number and Serial number. The form accepts the Serial number. However Model number is rejected. Is it possible that I am using the wrong registration form? Then what's the link to the right one?
  11. Thank you mikEm13, I have OIS II, tried following your advice, still no success. The damn form replies "Pruduct can't be blank". Can't figure out this puzzle...
  12. I was trying to register a new lens, XC 50-230mm, yet the registration form does not accept anything I'm trying to put into the box "Model number". Does anybody have an idea how to properly fill that data?
  13. Why stop at halfway? Let's go all the way to collodion dry plates!
  14. Yes. That's a pretty bad glitch. How can anyone like himself? It's totally unnatural. Let's all switch to Sony platform!
  15. Perfectionist hell has no Satan, no devils, no fired ovens and no teapots brimming with motor oil or such. All it has is a row of lenses standing without being arranged by their length and - try to imagine that! - some of the lenses are not precisely in line with the rest... Now, that is true suffering!
  16. To jbreiden: yeap, kinda scisophrenic... but it runs in the family...
  17. The eye sensor may respond to objects other than your eye or to light shining directly on the sensor. Watch your fingers and other objects getting too close to the EVF.
  18. I feel your pain, Karin. There ain't no better way to change motor reactions of your muscle memory than complaining about it in the forum. I too have some bad habits, now you've made me consider whether I should start a discussion about me forgetting to set the right aperture before taking a photo.
  19. On those rare occasions when I come across a scene worth recording on video I am totally satisfied with 1080, though my camera is capable of 4k. It's just me. Other people might be interested in new technologies while I prefer a light weight unobtrusive camera - which was exactly the reason I bought into Fuji in the first place. And yes, I do have a separate Canon video camera for those occasions, when I plan some high quality prolonged recording. Swiss army knife? That's a good way to describe the camera I will not be investing in any time soon.
  20. My doesn't. You've got a rare lemon. Request exchange.
  21. Two comments: 1. Your personal priority of video over still photo is hardly shared, in my opinion, by the majority of Fuji users. 2. Comparison of arbitrarily chosen video clips made by people of varying skills under different lighting conditions with differing lenses, shooting different subjects proves nothing. I mean, absolutely nothing.
  22. Wow!... It might've been easier just to drop it at your local cleaning facility, especially when they announce discount on all clothes... ))
  23. Thank you, milandro. On your advice I have downloaded Silkypix and use it to convert raw files to jpeg. Then I prefer to use Corel PaintPro X8 to work out the detailing. I do not necesserily like Silkypix interface, but ready to swallow this Fuji pill... ))
