  6. A NYC street shooter my whole life now using X-Pro2 and the X-H1. My first thought after I put the grip on was "Finally, a defensive weapon." The thing has some heft as does the X-Pro2 and I like that. Actually, in close to 40 years of riding the subway and roaming the streets, I have never felt that either myself or my gear was in jeopardy. It is a thought which occurs, however. . I like the video capabilities because often I find myself involved with a subject who has an interesting story or is a real character. It is not my primary focus but I like to play around. And it looks wonderful. Really quite nice. Having had most every FUJI camera since the X100, I think that the X-H1 is a refinement PLUS. Every 2 years I replace 1 body. I always say "It's a tool, not a jewel." but I am finding the X-H1 to be a little jewel-like... or maybe because it's new, I don't know.. it hasn't disappointed me yet.
  7. I've had my XPRO2 more than 2 years and last week the eyecup disappeared while doing some street work in the city. I found a replacement (3rd party JCC I think) and for $18 on Ebay I got 2. I sprayed a little 3M Super 77 adhesive on the back of the ring and it is now holding fast. The 77 is good because you can still remove the eyecup with a little bit of force. Losing the eyecup does not compromise the weather seal.
  8. I've only had the issue with the XPro2 early on while using generic cards. I've never had an issue with premium cards that I know are not counterfeit. Nobody likes surprises so I would rather do the due diligence.
  9. I just had my EVF replaced (under warranty) due to a line of red pixels showing up under some lighting conditions. Images were fine. Send it in for repair, poop does happen.
  10. The NTSB would call this Pilot Error with contributing factor.
  11. I've had an issue since day 1 of the XPro2 freezing up after importing images into LR. When the transfer is done, if I don't unplug the USB within 5 minutes, the camera will freeze and I have to drop the battery out. I dropped it at FUJI Edison for the 3rd time and they gave me another camera.Best service I've had since Marty Forscher.
  12. If I need to shoot video for any professional use, I rent a video camera. The people who "get" the XPRO-2 probably don't really care that much about video anyway. Having been making images for a long long time and having had many film and digital cameras, and broadcast video cameras, I can't for the life of me understand the constant comparison that goes on. I buy a camera and lens(es), I then go out and use it until it dies, if I am getting the images I want. I don't really think about the next big thing until it's time to go shopping for a camera again. It's a tool not a jewel.
  13. I'm so glad you wrote this and I have found it useful. But the thing I am really pleased about is the link to Adam Bonn's website. That is a labor of love and a great resource. Thank you.
  14. I live about 25 miles from Fuji in Edison NJ. I use my gear for work (and play) and I don't like a consumer experience when I need help. I have found that Fuji repair in Edison goes out of their way to make life easier when I do have a problem. Do a little research and find out the right person to hit up with an email. You just might get them to send the eyepiece to you. Especially if you work with your camera. My XT1 grip had the rubber material sliding off. I was using it a lot this summer and I guess the heat and sweat caused it to start peeling away from the body. After a while it was a real pain in the butt so I dropped it at Fuji. I wasn't in a rush and so waited for the estimate to be mailed to me. How much could it cost to put some glue on the camera body? When I got the 149.00 estimate I drove back down to Fuji and asked to speak with a supervisor. I got the guy in charge of the repair department. I explained that I didn't mind paying for the work but 149.00 I thought was a bit excessive. The guy knew what gear I owned before he came out to talk to me, and we had a nice discussion about the X cameras. He then said he would do the repair free and throw in a cleaning and calibration. I thought that was very gracious and probably a good business decision based on how much Fuji gear I own. Good luck with the eyepiece, I'm sure I'm right behind you with that thing.
  15. I had the same issue and it was driving me crazy. Fuji replaced the capacitor and that solved the problem. I still have an issue when I leave the camera turned on and attached to the computer for transfer into Lightroom. If I don't disconnect quickly after the last image is transferred, the camera will lock up. Then the only way to shut it off is to drop the battery out. All in all, I love the camera. It is what it is.
