X100T buy?
milandro replied to bm001's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
I think that they will make exactly that, a X-Pro 2 with a fixed lens pretty much as the X-Pro 1 was almost contemporary to the X-!00S -
Currently, the X-T1 still has an edge, probably even over the X-Pro 2 which for many reasons is not the camera that a sport photographer would go for. Very likely the X-T2 will feature improvements in this area. Your X-E1 is certainly much slower than any even current one camera in the range. Waiting a bit longer will certainly tell you if the X-T2 will deliver improvements over the current X-T1. It most probably will. The real question is whether sport photography is the area to which Fuji cameras are being targeting their production. The introduction of the 100-400 would certainly let one think that they are woking in that area on the other hand they might have decided that this (like the cinema market) is an area where they don’t want to commit themselves to.

I give OP the benefit of the doubt supposing that he’s read the instructions on how to upgrade the firmware and just made a mistake in using the card that he used, but yes, weirder things have happened.

There are many threads on the X-T2 and even a member who call himself X-T2 user. There are comparative threads. Questions about what would suit one more than the “other” (X-Pro-2), all rumors... no beef, yet. http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1792-fujifilm-x-t2-rumors/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2331-x-pro-2-vs-x-t2-what-suits-me-more/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2121-so-what-about-an-x-t2/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2169-fuji-x-t2-sony-a6300/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2473-x-pro2-or-x-t2-why-pick-one-or-the-other/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/472-fujifilm-x-t2-coming-pretty-soon-after-the-fujfilm-x-pro2-source-right-in-the-past/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/465-x-t2/ And all of this WITHOUT a camera, yet! Incredible, isn’t it?

Issue with New Firmware for X-T10
milandro replied to Audun Sjoeseth's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
you are still the only person who has reported this. Unless you think that everyone is keeping “ shtum “ for fear of the Fuji secret police it really means that in all probability this was only your problem and not a common one. But you seem to wat to hear that it was a general problem. OK! Sound the alarm, hurry, hurry, protect your X-T10, bugs are on the loose! Women and children first! S.O.S! -

X100T buy?
milandro replied to bm001's topic in Fuji X100VI / X100 / X100S / X100T / X100F / X100V / Fuji X70
I agree, unless they want to shoot themselves in the foot the would have to upgrade a number of things on the X100-T successor. The precise nature of the improvements is , of course, speculation which, in my book, is the very nature of many of the posts on this forum. Logic and marketing would have that: in order to keep on selling that type of camera, they have to provide it with, at least, as many innovations as the X-Pro 2. However, it is true that , and I am heavily speculating here, that we will probably start seeing more and more segmentation and differentiation among the X cameras. We shall see. Having the latest camera is not compulsive . The type of camera which one uses is hardly the limiting factor in the quality of one’s pictures. -
that would do for most situations.

I never use it but it would work.

Mine most certainly does on both cameras, X-T1 and X-E2 with the 18-55 and 60mm in Automatic with aperture priority. The aperture turns yellow and I can change it at will once the lens is set on A. So when both selectors (on shutter speed dial on A and on lens on A) are on A you can operate the aperture by rear (and front on the X-T1) dial.

which normally affect more than one person. But ok, you are the first. When another person will come with the same problem he will be the second. -

ok, as you please, but ,until now you, are the only one, so you were affected by a very selective bug -

an O ring would probably work, however if you find an old camera eyecup you might have adapted one of those -
I think that only a trip to the repair shop might work. You can’t do anything if you aren’t even able to update the firmware. Firmware updates fix also bugs. Avoiding updates might protect you from new bugs but it might expose you precisely to bugs of the previous firmware. But this sounds more like some serious malfunction. Sorry. Good luck!

...and what do you think they would do even if they had? There are no indications that this wasn’t a freak occurrence otherwise other people would have reported a problem. It might very well be something that might belong to a defect of your type of card and your type of card alone. It might be a malfunction of your computer or of your camera not of the software. -

it seems to me that if he said “ Fuji will replace under warranty” that it won’t cost anything. but I don’t think there is a walk in shop where you can do these things, however you can find out here http://repair.fujifilm.co.uk -
and this is the video @https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxKb_OqV7ng Damaging the sensor is not completely impossible but you really have to do your very best to do that. Otherwise it is pretty unlikely. Unlike cameras with a mirror and a shutter permanently closed, you can access the sensor in a pretty easy way. Unlike Marlene, I wouldn’t be so confident that the shop does necessarily a good job, indeed I have personally experienced my shop in the Netherlands ( one of the largest chain in the country) sending my camera to the Fuji lab in Germany, the camera returned , after a total turnaround of 8 weeks, with yes, a cleaned sensor but a large hair trapped onto the sensor. Then they tried to solve the problem on the spot but couldn’t and decided to refund me the cost of the X-E1 (which was new) and I decided the to upgrade to a X-T1.

Issue with New Firmware for X-T10
milandro replied to Audun Sjoeseth's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
yes, but again, you were the only one who had this, there must be several other forum members who did the same upgrade and reported no problem of this nature. It is a freak event. Few days ago I was shooting, before the update, and all of a sudden the camera ( X-E2) tells me that the card inside the camera ( shot before several pictures on that card and never took it out) wasn’t formatted... It had worked fine before, I switched off the camera and switched it on again and the “ problem” never ever materialized again. Things like these might have countless reasons. The fact that no one else reported such a thing obviously means that you problem was an exception rather than being a rule.
