I've just bought a second hand XF 90mm. It's in a perfect exterior aspect.

It function apparently well, with an efficient AF, a perfect focusing symmetry ...

But when I tilt it longitudinally (front lens up-down), I can ear a light "clock " (or "click" ?), as if lenses are moving inside.

I know an equivalent noise in an IS lens, but the 90mm has no stabilisation system inside.

Is it the same with a new lens? Thanks

No, as far as I know. I just prefer to transport it that way to avoid the bumping.  Many people have asked about this movement/noise and it has raised concerns but as far as I know there have never been any problems reported with this issue and the lens is widely regarded as excellent

Thanks George_P.

My firsts images with this lens show me a marvelous “modelė”, a very fine transition from focus to out focus and a very good but non aggressive sharpness.

Even if the focal is a little stretch for what I used to, I think it will soon become to me as a favorite portrait lens.
