Hi everyone!

I hope you're all doing well. I'm having an issue with my camera. It’s displaying a “full” message, but when I insert the SD card into my laptop, it shows that there’s still 117GB available.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

For reference, my camera is Fujifilm X-T30 II

I'd recommend saving the images from the card onto your computer and then reformatting the card in the camera.

Have you deleted any of the images (either in the camera or on the computer)?

This is what I’m always doing, but isn’t it too tiring/burdensome to always do this when your sd card has still a lot of storage? Or does the camera have a number of shots limit despite the free storage?

What exact message are you getting?

Can you show a photo of the rear camera screen?

Are you running out of frame numbers? That would stop the camera from operating.

If the camera shows full when the card has just been reformatted then there is something wrong with the card.

If you frequently delete images with a computer then it won't free up space until you reformat.

How many images have you shot when the camera shows full and do you delete individual images in camera or computer?

Another test would be to buy a new card (Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-I are good and relatively inexpensive) and see if you get the same problem - if you don't then get rid of your current card.

Do you mean "SD MEMORY FULL" with a brown zero at the top of the screen?

If so then either:

1) you have deleted files from the card using a computer

In this case just reformat the card and don't delete cards using a computer again

2) This is a bad card or a fake card with much less storage than it says on the label

You could test it by putting into a card reader with a computer and see check the size (right click -> Get Info on a Mac)

In this case copy off your images and get a new card
