Tried using the iNissin 40 in TTL on my next XT2 tonight and found a problem.  Even though I had the flash set to TTL and the camera flash menu set to TTL, the flash would fire but at a very low output and not do proper TTL.  I had to put it back on my XT1 to keep going as an on camera TTL should.  I've been using the iNissin on my XT1 for 2 years now, so am familiar with it.

Anyone else experience this on the XT2?

A little trick to get the i40 to work at least in manual - tape over the 4 pins in the back of the camera hot shoe, leaving the large silver and small gold pin in front exposed. You can now use the i40 in manual. Not perfect, but better than not at all.

Nissin have released a firmware update for the i40. In the UK the importers are Kenro. You have to send the flash to them. They charged £24 and I got it back within three days. It now works on camera. I have found however that I can not use the flash off camera with the Canon style remote lead that I had for the X-T1.
