Hey X-Folks..

 

I just wanted to know what you guys would say about new compositon grids in the viewfinder / lcd screen. One of the advantages of Mirrorless with EVF is basically that you can put anything in there from histrogram to framing guidelines.. most people will have the thirds grid on which shows the rule of third lines.. the other possibilities would be the 24 grid mode which has many lines and the 16:9 mode..

How about more lines and more useful ones? Like the Golden Ratio and Spirale (mirrored in all directions) diagonals, a horizontal line for symmetry and more.. I would love to see Fuji implementing these into the Screen Info.. They don't hurt.. nobody needs to use them.. Their existence wouldnt mess up the menu. They would be a useful addition in some cases.. Getting a symmetrical shot can be hard and most of us end up cropping alot afterwards.

I know what you mean.. but with a grey tone or a transparency grid it would erase that issue.

i would love to see a triangular paddern to see angles i didnt saw before.. example picture (a boring picure from my lightroom catalogue) It helps to see angles and lines you werent able to see with the "3x3" paddern, which gets really boring for composing

that's a nice suggestion . it's easy to implement via firmware update ! .when majority users request fujifilm will implement it quickly . i also like to see new composition guidelines ! . have a nice day !

      Welcome to the forum. You can also check with your local camera repair store regarding their repair prices. The camera's settings are stored in a memory chip which needs a little bit of electricity to stay active. The capacitor supplies the needed current so you can remove the main battery without losing the settings. On occasion, capacitors deteriorate and stop working. This is a major problem in power supplies for other equipment where the caps reliability is highly debated. Usually they can be replaced and things go back to regular working conditions.

      My Fuji  XT3 bought new 2018,  spent hours understanding the menu,  Always has a full battery in it Turn on yesterday and all settings all default I was told it is a capacitor or motherboard  ( what?) I have multiple cameras from different  manufacturers that have been sitting for years never had this problem  I hope fuji gives me a reasonable price, because  I love the camera

      Hi everyone. Just bought my retirement gift to myself - an XT-5 with 16-50 and 70-300 lenses and cant wait to get started.   Used to be a keen photographer before life got in the way and have continued, albeit with phone, but despite it taking decent photos, I want to move on to the next level. Really excited about to getting to grips with this beast and realise what a steep learning curve I'm on and will be looking for plenty of advice and tips.

      X-Pro2 won’t recognize Godox flash

      Hi folks - long time lurker in a bind. My XP2 won't recoginise my Godox TT685iiF unit. I've tried to troubleshoot it myself (modest abilities) without success, then worked with the good folks at my local camera store, again without success. We did try my flash unit on other cameras to confirm it wasn't the flash, as well as trying other new units on my XP2 with no success. The store shipped the camera off to Fuji Canada (I'm in Southern Ontario) where it was promptly returned with a note saying it was 'too old, no longer supported'. Sigh. Has anyone experienced this situation, and arrived at a solution? Any suggestions on how to proceed from here?   MANY thanks in advance!!
