Sky replacement

Hello,
I took what I thought was a good photo of a lighthouse in the waves... and then I tried a sky replacement which I am against on principle. The problem is that the photo with the new sky looks way better ! Help !!

I think it's easy to lose the reputation this way. We may clear some garbage in post processing but sky replacement... I'm not sure you need it.

Yes , thanks for the honest replies. I find the idea attractive though in the short run. I think you are right though. It also takes away the pleasure of landscape photography in the long run too.
