This Sunday I would like to investigate a crucial question. It’s probably the questions of all questions. The Fujifilm X100V looks better in silver or black? ;) I have a theory I will explain later… but first the rankings. I…

I had all the s/t/f in silver but I regret having ordered the V (also in silver) since it seems to have a lot of issues!

“Silver beats black.” Is that a law, or something?

I only buy used, so it’s a matter of what’s available in my budget. Both have the same features and functions.

I have had silver and black cameras, and I actually don’t care.

Hi,
I am new here and this is my first post. I think your personalisation of the camera is totally cool.  I have ideas on how I could change my camera.  Could you please describe what exactly was done here. Material, printing, what technique to cut out, what glue etc.?
I would love to make something similar....

Best regards,

I’ve been shooting cameras since 1960, back then almost all cameras had silver bodies, but about 10 years later many cameras started to appear wearing black finishes.  The marketing was that black cameras were more stealth.  Brassing that is the edges of the body started to show the brass metal below the painted surface, in time this look was a sign of honor that the photographer really used the camera and so it seems most bodies were now black.  Sign of the times?, fashion statement? I don’t know but I’ve been buying black bodies ever since.

    • I never knew the X70 existed! Looks interesting.
    • Equipment: Fujiflim X-M5 (firmware V 1.10). iPhone 15 pro (26.1) I am unable to properly connect my Fujifilm X-M5 to XApp on my iPhone 15 Pro. This setup previously worked without issues, but now the app only supports a basic remote shutter and no longer allows Get or Take mode, which are required for remote parameter control and shooting. I have repeatedly Initialized “FUJIFILM XApp”, re-paired the camera, reset wireless settings, and confirmed the camera is not in airplane mode, with both devices placed next to each other. None of these steps resolved the issue. Also, I am unable to update the camera firmware, as the process always fails with a “connection failed” message. I need clarification on whether this is a known firmware or compatibility issue and what the actual solution is.

    • Last day of autumn 2025. Autumn is gradual. Summer field crops slowly ripening. Cool, longer nights turn into morning fogs. Color (colour) touches here and there taking the place of flowers now resting until Spring. Then, after that slow introduction, Fall is everywhere. Winter is brash, Winter is not at all subtle. Freezing cold days and colder nights. The Sun struggles to get above the horizon. Bare fields, iced over streams and woe (‘Woe!! I say!’) to trees or shrubs holding onto leaves.

      Winter is coming.
    • For some reason, the EV dial setting does not correlate to the EV setting displayed in the viewfinder.  My XT2 used to have parity between settings such that when the dial was at "0", the viewfinder also showed "0".  Has anybody else noticed this?  I've tried a reset of the s/w but no luck.
