  1. Tempted..... I'll carry my X-Pro and instax as back up. No seriously, I know what you mean.
  2. Ok. My nieces have them too. Easy to buy presents for them. They get so thrilled when I pass them refill boxes. Mind you, they ain't cheap....in the long run. However, the prints last a surprising number of years without fade.
  3. It's just perplexing that instax is thriving while Polaroid isn't? Or am I wrong? Pricing?
  4. Okay......may I ask if these may be gender specific groups? Just trying to understand...
  5. I don't get the high instax sales. It seems to appeal to teens....
  6. Hahaha.....that would be a new found "advantage" of an electronic shutter! I noticed the Nikon. 800E?
  7. Yah, baiting.....still a debate until today.
  8. Now we know why we need higher shutter life.... Pretty awesome. Do you think Fujifilm can do these? http://www.architecturendesign.net/perfect-kingfisher-dive-photo-wildlife-photography/
  9. Horsie has better pixel IQ. Horsie H5D-40 has 6um pixels. X-E1 has 4.8um pixel size. Larger pixels with better light gathering properties per pixel. Less density means better heat dissipation. Bit depth on the horsie is better. Excellent sharpness and detail....
  10. I use Star Walk 2. Does a pretty good job too. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/star-walk-2-guide-to-night/id892279069?mt=8
  11. Literally.... An old review but 1st one I found to be fairly accurate. http://petapixel.com/2015/08/24/42-megapixels-of-garbage-an-unconventional-review-of-the-sony-a7r-ii/
  12. Why don't you just buy the original half case? http://www.amazon.com/Fujifilm-BLC-XPRO2-Leather-Half-Case/dp/B01ABQIZEA
  13. That's their usual roadmap schedule and would be good if they can keep it that way. However, now with the quake and all, things may just get pushed a little down the timeline. In any case, the X-T2 will be a killer camera! Expect a slight drop in price for the X-pro2 after that.
  14. So far X-T1 is the clear winner. What a champ!
  15. Ah...ok. I see. Thanks for sharing. These are good information. I have the x20 and the Nissin i40. Will muck around tonight. You are right, by right manual mode should not disengage rear sync.
  16. Good luck n do keep us posted. Very curious indeed.
  17. Just make sure your flash is turned on and you are in single shot or 3fps continuous mode. Works on bkt mode too but does not work on 8 fps continuous drive mode. Don't think you are on high speed drive so I'm not sure what the issue is. Mine is working as it should.
  18. Just in case OP decides to use a real manual lens instead of just trying the lens focus ring on whichever lens she has on her pro1.
  19. Turn on M mode on the front AF selector dial. Switch on "Shoot without Lens" in Menu. Don't forget to turn on focus assist and set it to high. Pressing in the thumb scroll dial will activate the "magnify" tool on your lcd. Press AF button to move the focus square to the desired area on the LCD to check focus while shooting. Turn the manual focus ring on lens to focus. All else works exactly as it does in AF mode. It takes a while to get things in perfect focus but once you do, It's a fun process. happy shooting.
  20. Hahaha.....yeah. How else can they sell us the "much needed" first ever "Pro" battery grip for xPro series! Now we can have 2 OVF!!!
  21. It's in page 78 of the user manual. Flash setting - Flash mode - set to 2nd curtain sync.
  22. True what you say. By keeping the feedback OVF completely mechanical and away from the main and PDAF processors, spinneyhorse don't have to go through the staggered and lagging feedback of the currently available evf tech when he shoots while zooming. I'm eagerly waiting for the day when Fujifilm plonks in a 2nd processor just to take care of focusing and AF chores. X-Pro3, Dual X-Processor Pro Engines! 8k video with 120hz slo mo ability! Even from a marketing point of view, it rocks.
  23. Only so much the X Processor Pro can handle at this point in history. I believe you will face the same problem with any other mirror less systems out there. DSLRs don't need to worry as they use real time TTL OVF. No processing needed.
