  1. Maybe we have just run out of topics.........
  2. Lysander, that sounds like a great deal. Even now Adorama has some good deals on X Pro 1 bodies used but in excellent shape. Anywhere from $479-$539 US dollars. Also saw an X-E1 demo for $279 US dollars.
  3. Fuji makes great glass. I don't cry myself to sleep at night because I don't have a Sigma lens!
  4. Now this would indeed be cool and useful for landscape photographers!! Hyperfocal Distance Function! Also, true back button focusing needed and ability to do In Camera Copyright info.
  5. Having just done this.........been in a hot air balloon, not go to Myanmar.....I used my X-Pro 1 and a 16mm. One body, one lens and scramble around like a PJ. Loved it. I shot the inflation and launch and the earth below once we got airborne.
  6. Great Work! Thanks for assembling everything in one spot.
  7. I wonder what the rumored 120 mm f2.8 macro lens looks like? Will it have a tripod collar??? A larger lens does not need to hang off a smaller body. It needs a means of support especially for detailed macro work.
  8. Thanks Larry. I will be playing with the lens this weekend and will post some images then.
  9. Is anyone using the Metabones Speed Booster with the Nikon AF 105mm f2.8 G Micro lens?? If so, do you like the combo? Any issues focusing? do you have any photos to share? The math means this lens will now act like a 112mm f2.0 even though you have to use the adapter to open aperture. I just picked up a Speed Booster and will be using it soon and posting. Thanks for any advice and samples. Thanks!
  10. My Street Setup is the X Pro 1 with a 23 bolted on I also carry a 32mm Zeiss and the 56mm Fuji in my messenger bag.
  11. So glad I picked up one of these. I am going to have fun.
  12. I hope you are right Marc G. I know I did not invest in current glass to get "jacked over" with a weird crop factor.
  13. What does everyone think about the rumored 1.3 X crop factor of the X Pro 2? My 23mm (35mm) would be 30mm instead and my 56mm (85mm) would be 73mm instead.
  14. How can you regret it? You can't go wrong. The new firmware will be out in days and you snagged a great deal!
  15. My last kaizen firmware wish for the older camera (X-Pro 1) would be 1) Classic Chrome 2) More colors for focus peaking
  16. Wish list item for me: Keep the size the same! Everybody does not have hands the size of Lilliputians. For goodness sake, have great software support for RAW files of whatever sensor they throw in there.
  17. You might be right. Just my speculation, but an internet search shows quite a few dealers are out of stock or don't carry the current X Pro 1. In US, a $200 discount on new bodies (that ended yesterday) might have been a last push to unload remaining stock. No one is listing it as discontinued mind you and I would not expect that. But.........maybe something wicked this way comes.
  18. If I had to guess then I would say a new organic sensor with a 1.3X crop factor that can still be used with existing lenses, the megapixel count will be 20 MP and if its in the next X Pro they aren't going to call it that anymore. Downside, a new crop factor shortens all our lenses so I don't know if I would bite on that given the investment I have made in glass for the focal length equivalents.
  19. My Favorites: Travel and street----I use a Timbuk2 small messenger bag with a camera insert. Holds an X-T1 with 3+ lenses, flash, ipad or macbook ,spare batteries, gorillapod attaches under the bottom and the bag is waterproof. Landscape (hiking)----Gura Gear Uinta with modules. Holds 2 bodies, 6 lenses, various accessories, Macbook pro and still has space for jacket, snacks, drink. Tripod holder on outside. Has a rain cover. I still have: Think Tank Turnstyle 20 (hiking, travel or street) ----if I don't need everything plus the kitchen sink. One body, 2 lenses plus ipad, few accessories. Think Tank Airport Antidote v2.0 backpack----used for my old Nikon equipment and laptop, have had for many years and saw no need to toss it. Good for extra storage if need be for lights, reflectors, etc
  20. My wishlist: 16mm f1.4 120mm macro 35mm f2 ?
  21. I could not justify the extra dollars for the APD for my type of photography. So the APD did not find a spot in my bag. I do love the regular lens.
  22. Mockups of this 35 showed it in black and silver. Does that mean that next X-PRO will be in black and silver?
