  1. Here is a cloudscape that I took with the Samyang 12mm f/2 on my way home ... brilliant lens!
  2. When Fuji sees fit? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. That's what I mean ... I personally would not invest such an amount if I still had so many uncertainties. Better to take your time and make up your mind, than to find out later that you rushed to the wrong decision (for you). Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. Actually there is a much older text fragment found in the sixth century Lex Salica document (recording King Clovis' civil law code), but "hebban olla vogala ..." remains the most famous one. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. If I were you, I would sit back first and think what you really want, before spending money. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. Why? I guess you come from a 35mm analog background, and probably feel at home with the 35mm format? ("full frame format" as it is often called nowadays). Fuji is not going to deliver a full frame X-mount camera in the foreseeable future, so with Fuji you buy in into the APS-C format. I am perfectly happy with an APS-C camera, and I think the Fuji cameras are really good for what I want. But if you want a full frame camera, buying into a system that does not offer that option may be a costly mistake. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. Stop fretting then, and buy a Sony. If you don't you will probably regret it anyway. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. The only Pentacon lens that I kept is the 4/200. Speaking about a heavy lens, by the way! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. A cheap option that is very decent if you get a good copy; the Pentacon 1.8/50. However, I have never used it on a Fuji camera, and I cannot remember if it produces neat bokeh. But I do remember that it was decently sharp. I liked that lens. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. I think Samshio meant the X-Pro2. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. Didn't know spelling was an issue on a global forum, for non-native speakers. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. Bean sack? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. No idea. Doesn't sound likely to me. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. Generally four to five years, in my case. So I'm perfectly happy to snatch up a X-Pro2 when the shops dump them to make room for the X-Pro3. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. Last time I was in London (and had some time for walking around), I just carried a X-Pro1 plus 18mm. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. The Fuji implementation is much more logical than a PASM dial, in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. Do you want Auto aperture? Just put the aperture selection on A then. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. Grain effect?? If you want grain, shoot film. (my opinion)
  19. My 2/18 on the X-Pro1 is clearly better than the Canon 1.8/28 (same FOV on the 5D) that I had. Yes, the other Fuji primes that I have are optically better, and no, I'm not really bothered by that. In many cases, the action is not going on at the extreme edges of the image, and I like the images this lens produces.
  20. Into the light
  21. Don't agree ... for many people, 16MP would be absolutely fine, even today. More MP means more RAM in your computer, and more storage space for your backups. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. What happens in the Netherlands is probably importer policy, instead of being dictated by Fujifilm Global (or Europe). Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. I just picked my X-Pro1 plus 18mm for a short trip ... having a small package, and only one focal length, feels liberating. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. No complaints here.
  25. My last purchase this year Thanks for the tip, milandro!
