  1. What lens were you using?
  2. I have one and like it a lot. It’s a pretty versatile lens. It’s compact and light and autofocus seems pretty fast. I would note that due to the shorter focal length for 1:1 magnification the working distance is very small. So small that have to remove the lens hood. For me it’s a great lens but if was looking for dedicated macro lens I’d probably look at longer focal length.
  3. What aperture, shutter speed, and iso set too? Is it possible there isn’t enough light?
  4. You have other cards to try? That sounds like could be a bad card, or at least something the camera is having issues with. Have you formatted the card in camera?
  5. Only used my X-T5 once since upgrading it. I haven’t noticed any major changes. Seems like was video related with 16-55 2.8, that I don’t own.
  6. There are a lot of good videos out there but really depends on background and what you are looking to learn. I think would be pretty different if have photography background and coming from another brand or if this is first camera. I came from Nikon so I found Dan Bailey’s X SERIES UNLIMITED ebook was helpful in leaning the Fujifilm menus and settings.
  7. Congrats on the new camera. I agree, I love my X-T5.
  8. I fortunately haven’t experienced this but I really hope Fujifilm support can determine cause. Hopefully was a fluke issue but would make hard to trust camera until root cause identified.
  9. I 100% agree. This would be a great update.
  10. Do you mean all back to default or just on the custom banks? If the custom banks, there is an option “Auto update custom settings” that if enabled will save changes when powered off. If disabled when you make change while using C1 - C7 they will not be saved when powered off. So if you turn off the camera those C1 - C7 settings will go back to previously saved versions. You then have to manually save if you want to keep a change.
  11. Probably IBIS (image stabilization).
  12. Where did you purchase the cards? Lot of counterfeits out there. Hopefully is a card issue. Do you get an error when trying to view in camera or on PC, or they are just black images? I’ve seen few posts for other Fujifilm cameras with similar issue but none of the ones I saw had a resolution. I haven’t had this happen with my X-T5 fortunately. I usually shoot RAW + JPEG with Sandisk cards but don’t have any 256 cards. Sucks to lose images.
  13. I like to use the ALL setting. That way can change the size of the single point but also can change to zone or wide without having to go into a menu.
  14. I just have custom setting #1 to use default settings. The X-T5 has a “nothing selected” choice along with the seven custom settings so it’s possible they could add it with firmware update, but at this point I’d be surprised if they do. The X-T5 has other functions that are now saved in the custom settings that makes it more like a custom shooting situation than a film recipe.
  15. I think it should work for what you listed depending on how large your charger is. I can fit my X-T5 with XF 70-300 F4-5.6 vertically and XF 30 F2.8 or XF 18-55mm F2.8-4. I can get all three lenses in without a charger if stack the smaller ones. I had the 3L first when just had X100V and liked it so much I added the 6L.
  16. Glad you figured it out. Yes there are a ton of settings and not always apparent which ones link together when changing.
  17. In P/auto mode you are turning off some of the command dial functions. I believe you have to turn on SS Operation in settings for the rear dial to adjust shutter speed in P/auto mode. For front dial to control aperture change aperture ring setting in button/dial settings menu to command. This can vary depending on if lens has an aperture ring or not. For exposure comp or ISO those dials need to be set to C (command). If multiple are available then push to toggle is enabled.
  18. Glad got it fixed. Looks like was fixed with the version just released on July 4th. The firmware update Ver.3.01 from Ver.3.00 incorporates the following issues: The firmware bug is fixed that the lens always stops at the “Near-end” position when the camera is turned on after Ver.3.00 update. The bug is fixed that the “Pairing Registration” screen in the "FUJIFILM Camera Remote" is displayed in rare cases when turning on the camera right after Ver.3.00 update and then the camera freezes when the "OK" button is pressed, or “Pairing Registration” screen keeps appearing when “BACK” button is pressed.
  19. You can change number of Quick menu options displayed in SET UP > BUTTON/DIAL SETTING > EDIT/SAVE QUICK MENU. But as far as I know selection are 4, 8, 12, or 16 slots.
  20. Coming from Nikon DSLR I thought was important at first and I used it some but have gone to EVF almost exclusively now.
  21. No idea if this will help but maybe try forcing firmware update? It’s done by holding disp/back button while turning on the camera so maybe could bypass the stuck screen? https://fujifilm-x.com/support/download/procedure-x-compact/
  22. That sucks and I’m with you that I’d want a new camera not a repaired or refurbished one when this new. Hopefully you get them to take care of you.
  23. It looks the same as mine from what I can tell. Also looks same as some of the photos I see out there in some reviews.
  24. I also believe it doesn’t work if change drive to continuous shooting mode.
  25. Are you shooting RAW? I don’t believe the digital teleconverter is available when using RAW.
