  1. One of the very first things on that page says It's always been that way. Unfortunately, the X-Webcam software seems to have "won't pass power on USB" as one of its other disappointing "features"...
  3. I've been having some weirdness myself on my X-S10 with that randomly going away as well as a few other settings...maybe it's a Fuji-wide software glitch they should look into.
  4. I also have lousy eyesight (and pretty old lol), but I've been managing to capture even hawks in flight using manual focus with peak yellow... ...while waiting for my 70-300 on March 25! 😺
  5. All I can say is what I went through in my own head before buying mine. I've had a number of fairly decent cameras over the years, both analog and digital, and shot in lots of different conditions including rain and snow and sand. I never even heard of a "weather-sealed camera" before a few years ago, but I never had any trouble because I always protected my camera with my outerwear or even plastic bags when necessary. I've carried a few disposable camera rain covers in my bag for the last 6 years or so, but never had the occasion to take them out of their package. But I'm sure that if I got caught in a downpour, they'd protect my X-S10 just fine. And if you also only encounter adverse weather on relatively rare occasions, that's probably all you'd need too. Edit: all my Fuji lenses are weather-sealed, so that's another thing to consider.
  6. If I remember correctly, I had to turn the camera's connections on first and let the app detect it, then the app knew what it was dealing with.
  7. Hopefully Fujifilm can address this in an upcoming firmware release, assuming it's an actual bug.
  8. "Can't take pictures without a charged battery" -- taps head
  9. Not many threads where someone asks and answers his own questions...! That's research for you! 😺
  10. I've never used them myself but Keh.com is pretty well-known.
  11. This is our "pet stray" Sherbert, through a sliding glass door via X-S10/16-80, 1/50 @f6.4, ISO 2500
  12. The IBIS works with OIS, and it works on its own as well. I've heard that the f2.8 version is much heavier and that could make your shake problem worse. Personally if those were my only choices I would go with the OIS version (in fact, I got the 16-80 with OIS).
  13. I think you triggered the drive options for bracketing. On my X-S10, it's a separate button on the top left.
  14. Hmm, last night I noticed even plugging the camera in was pretty slow and Windows said the photos were coming in at a "blistering" 22MB/second. For serious batches, I guess I'm going to have to pull out the SD card.
  15. Ironically (or not...) I had the opposite experience. Transfer to the app was so slow that I discovered the resize option and happily turned it on. Now I can quickly get images for social media or family/friends and even edit them on my phone while geotagging them and automatically backing them up via Google Photos, then save the high-res original stuff for proper processing on my desktop.
  16. Not sure that's possible. Auto mode seems to really take over everything. Specifically, the Q menu has focus modes greyed out when in auto.
