WR? AF speed is an old problem that is in the past go for it. But the lens does like the light and doesn’t fare quite as well in the dark!

Laurel, you do not say what lenses you have? There is no specific camera setting for macro photography. Fuji’s extension tubes are very good but expensive. Don’t dismiss them that would be an easier way to adapt almost any lens to be able you to get a bit closer. Another way to get closer is a telephoto lens but not ideal.

Now several weeks into the X-H1: The Good! This new body seems to fit my quite small male hands superbly. The new rounded buttons are much easier to use compared to the X-T2 flat buttons. Faster AF even using the FX 35mm 1.4, other lenses also benefit from the improved algorithm. The improved card hatch and connector hatch are an improvement. I perceive a small improvement in image quality. The output equals or betters the X-T2 Also I see the LCD as being sharp as a tack. The EVF is great the detail is super. The menus are familiar but encompass the new facilities. The whole experience of the camera seems slicker and quicker. An almost silent shutter noise is very good. The X-H1 in my eyes is an evolution of the X-T2, which in my mind is better than a revolution. The body feels a lot more robust, time will tell if the finish is as equally robust? Of course all your lenses and most bits fit. IBIS because it doesn’t intrude. Not so good. The extra 5 ozs of weight. Battery life. Apparent feature of the normal mode LCD & EVF where the refresh rate slows down.(I think this is a bug and not a feature) Boot up a tad slower. According to my list the pros outweigh the cons by a fair margin. Another reassuring feature is that Fuji will tweak and improve the camera in the same way that they have done to their other photo products!

It’s very hard work being a cat and Dave is having a quick nap! Thankfully Dave’s injury is well on the way to healing, fur is growing back nicely and it is now quite difficult to see where the injury was, my neighbour Julie tells me he’s now very nervous of white vans, so we’re thinking he was hit by such a white van. Funnily he always seems to take his naps at the same spot! X-H1 + 80mm + TC 1.4 @ 1/170 f8 ISO 1000

dfaye, yes I agree, please note Connect is asking you to post a proof of purchase when you register an item! Some of my gear was already there and I registered a few more but it won’t let me register my 1.4 & 2 TCs annoyingly it’s not telling me why!

Is this for something new you have bought? I have registered my stuff via fujifilmxworld.com, but I have heard that Fuji connect is the way of the future. Certainly I can’t find a link to it? Maybe Fuji UK hasn’t got the memo yet! It took them ages to recognise an X-T2 VPBG!

Use the wireless connection instead! I too have been unable to get a Bluetooth connection!
