    Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone. Just bought my retirement gift to myself - an XT-5 with 16-50 and 70-300 lenses and cant wait to get started. Used to be a keen photographer before life got in the way and have continued, albeit with phone, but despite it taking decent photos, I want to move on to the next level. Really excited about to getting to grips with this beast and realise what a steep learning curve I'm on and will be looking for plenty of advice and tips.

    Fuji Birds

interesting story, maybe.......I took a photo on a pond that included this bird house that I assumed it was empty, I got home and looked at the photo and noticed something peeking out when I cropped in...............I went back and took some closeups with the 150-600. Surprised he put up with me being so close.

  32. I popped by my local camera store to check out the GRX100RF today. They let me put my SD card in it and snap some pictures. I set it to ACROS and snapped these shots of the salesman. It's easy to see what camera brand he likes.

  33. Hi there, sorry for any language oopsies. It's not my native language. I am an old(er) guy from Germany with a new camera. It's a x100vi, my first Fuji. Before that (starting in the 1980's with an MX and the most modern I have is a K3III) I used Pentax and Ricoh GR. I am pretty impressed with the Fuji. Even if I cannot find any love for OOC jpegs, recipies, in camera filmsimulations and such as it seems to be typical for Fuji users. It's to much fiddling with dials and menues for me. I prefere RAW and and like preprossesing at my leasure. Here are some from the very first day with the Fuji. It's around our tiny town in the south western part of Germany (and of neighbors cat)

  46. So far, it seems like the eclipse is no different visually in the sky than the normal waxing and waning. But as the Moon drifts deeper into the Shadow, the rest of the Moon re-appears tinted red. Full eclipse. 3 / 3.
