In the grit of urban life (image heavy and a little extreme)
mapleleaf56 reacted to AlfRjw for a topic
A short while ago I had a playful morning, dropping the sigma 56mm attached to my x-e4in my bag and nothing else, decided to ignore architecture and to devote to the strong characters of vibrant, deep, real urban life. Or else. But first a man has to eat. And what are we without a glass of wine and a book? And then out the door I am Oh so urban Ambience, please. Here you are Fear to be overcome Edgier again Must move, not to disturb the magic Getting there and then looking up But we are not alone They are watching Me too: once, Twice! Then a moment devoting myself to art Heading into a seedier corner, and it shows . You know who they are And I move to a safe place Then, out and heading home, meeting a happy accident Two minutes there and then on the tram That’s all!1 point -
I was at Sebring this last weekend, and took the opportunity to put the x-t5 and the viltrox 75mm f/1.2 (both with current firmware) through its paces. I’m happy to report that the AF system was easily up to the task. The shots I’ve managed to finish processing are here… Sebring 2023 I had also rented a xf150-600 from lensrental.com to see if I would like it. It unfortunately too much lens, and offered few chances for being used. The 75mm focal length was near perfect. I did get to also use my XF 18mm f1.4 r lm wr which is a stellar lens as well.1 point

Afraid to purchase x-t4 or 5

Like others have stated, it happens and can happen to any brand make or model. All industries are subject. I have had my X-T5 for 2 months and it is perfect. I come from Canon FF both EF and RF and Nikon for analog, all companies and segments with incredibly high QC rates. This Fuji is the same, from mechanical to software, top marks. If you look for negative reviews, you will find them. Complainers are 10x more likely to voice an opinion than those satisfied.1 point -

I'm a bit late to this discussion, but this is my first-ever contribution to this forum. I had used to work as an intake specialist for camera repair, where I became familiar with problems particular to certain makes and models of cameras. Some models have problems that tend to occur because of their design or a part specific to them. I learned to do research on what such common problems were before I'd buy a camera. For example, I've seen repeatedly reported that the screen on the X-Pro3 has shorted out because of how its mechanical apparatus affects the ribbon cable that carries the signal to the screen. (Such issues are why it's prudent to wait a while after the release of a new model.) The thing with Fuji cameras is that such a "flaw" in design is rare, as I find them incredibly well-constructed. Also, although it does happen, it's rare for me to learn of a Fuji X camera that has "just quit." I've fallen down, with my X-T4 hitting the ground, on more than one occasion, and the camera remained unfazed. I'd expected at least for its IBIS to be affected by this, but no.1 point

Shot using a B+W 10 stop ND filter and the 3 stop internal ND filter turned on, 77 second exposure. Did a lot of dodging and burning on this. Putting the horizon exactly in the center was a deliberate composition choice. I call this my poor mans Rothko. This all started for me when I saw the cover of the U2 album "No Line On The Horizon" in 2009 and looked up the photographer, Hiroshi Sugimoto. For years his work was in the back of my head. Finally this year I decided to do some long exposure work of my own. This is from my 3rd day ever of shooting LE. For some reason shooting 1x1 really appeals to me and I find myself shooting in that format a lot. C&C if you like. Comments are appreciated.1 point

Another fine chapeau ... Thor's Helmet (NGC 2359). This is the equivalent of a 52 minutes, 30 seconds exposure. Other known aliases include the Duck Head Nebula, the Flying Eye Nebula, the Duck Nebula and the Whistle Nebula. Like M104, the Sombrero Galaxy, Thor's Helmet is certainly large enough to keep the hot sun off of your head. The nebula is actually a big 'ol bubble formed by a solar wind blowing from a star through a gas cloud. https://lowell.edu/2020/11/03/outer-space-spotlight-thors-helmet-nebula-ngc-2359/ https://www.constellation-guide.com/thors-helmet-ngc-2359/ https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap200612.html1 point
