  1. Thanks to @Joe Roxx, @0301chris, and @flamidey for the guidance on capture cards. And fingers crossed that the X-S10 gets full Xwebcam2 support, but given that we don't know when or if that will happen and what the resulting quality will be...I decided to experiment on the cheap ($26 total) with: Micro HDMI to HDMI Adapter Cable, Wenter 6.5ft/2M Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable (Male to Male) for Gopro Hero and Other Action Camera/Cam with 4K/3D Supported Video Capture Card, GUERMOK USB 3.0 HD Audio Capture Card, 4K 1080P60 Capture Devices for Gaming Live Streaming Video Recorder, Compatible with Windows Mac OS System YouTube for PS4, Switch, Xbox So far so good. It's the same level of control (everything set up on the camera), but with a much better image (full frame rate). Wishing I had pulled the trigger on this from day one.

    Hi there!

Hi everybody! I've been looking for a photography forum and I ended up selecting this one as a start. I expect to post questions about my internal struggles with the world of photography as a hobby. I'll also expect to know you all better. Thanks in advance for your feedback, guidance and availability!

  3. It takes courage and time to find beauty where you were only able to see boredom. Train, train, train...

  4. For portraits: the 110mm is gorgeous at F2.0 and 2.8, best portrait lens I've ever had and I rate it 10/10. Everyone expects a lot from the new 80mm too. The 250mm is also really nice for portraits, 8,5/10. The 50mm is said to be slightly better than the 45mm which I have and rate 7,5/10. The 30mm I haven't used very much yet, 7-8/10 for the moment. The 63mm is OK but nothing really special, a 7/10. The 120mm is really sharp, could be good for landscape but a no-go for portraits. I had the 32-64mm, it's really sharp but has -imho- no character, 5/10. I really dislike zooms so I'm totally biased .

  5. I agree. Coming from xt2 and x100s, the xt4 is a huge disappointment in terms of build quality. I couldn’t understand how I acquired a serious mark on the ‘prism’ within 24 hours of arrival as I am a very careful user. Sad about this retrograde step.

  6. Sometimes what you think is boring, is unique onto itself...say like a bench on the main avenue, that's used to wait for a bus? A street light, that is unique to your town. You could do a photo-a-day of anything...that is 'unique' .
