Rokinon 12 mm, how to take photo!?

So I just purchased a Rokinon 12mm.  Trying to test it out, however, when I press the shutter down... Nothing happens?  This is my first manual focus lens, so is there something I"m doing wrong?  Thanks

EDIT*** found out I had to switch camera settings to take photo without lens.

Hello bhedges. Yes, that is a silly option by Fuji in my opinion. Right now I don't remember well, but they could have specified in the manual a different way like "shoot with a manual lens" rather then "take a photo without lens".

There also should be something connected with the sound. But I might remember wrongly.
