Desperate for the 80mm macro

I'm holding off on all other purchases of Fuji gear as a result. And it's very clear that if they didn't put so many resources into the GFX system, it would have been here long ago.

 

Poor Fuji they better hurry then to get you pleased, you seem to be a very important person and they are for sure missing your important dollarz !!!

 

Pretty sure Fuji is reading us so I'll add my 2 cents : Fuji give us X-E3 within a month, or else I hold off my money and won't buy lenses !!!

Oh yes Fuji and know what... after all this obscure delays if you release X-E3 like X-T20 just in RF body without any breakthrough I won't buy it for sure.

I was waiting for a longer macro until I discovered that one can obtain vastly superior vintage Zeiss 1:1 macro lenses for half the cost of today's lenses.   No autofocus, but I have always focused manually when doing macro work anyway.

I wonder if this would be good for portraiture as well. The OIS could be nice and an 80mm focal length might be just a bit easier to work with then 90. I might miss the wider aperture of the 56 and 90 though. Mmm, maybe not the best option, actually for portraiture the 50-140 seems to be practically the same thing as the 80, but with added flexibility.
