Fuji XT2 and Instax printing

Does anyone know why when you send a photo to the instax printer it prints the image upside down? I've tried it with my iPhone and the app and it prints correctly.

@pete1959 Sorry that was a bit confusing. When using the XT2 or any FujiFilm camera with the instax printer the image prints upside down (with the thick border at the top). Does anyone know a way to correct this??

Probably some setting somewhere, but I have yet to get a printer.  Is it good to have a printer in order to give out photos if wanted?

I'd shoot a call into Fuji tech support....that's odd it would do that. The lack of any info on the internet kind of indicates it's very uncommon. You might have a firmware issue with your printer?

 

I know not helpful advice but the lack of responses and or similar postings on the net means it might be a long wait to get it resolved via the forums.... I'd call Fuji or return the unit....

I'm still waiting for my X-T2 (first Fuji), and was thinking of getting an instax printer for my upcoming trip to Iceland. 

I suspect that the printer is reading the rotation flag incorrectly, and this only occurs with vertical photos? 

 

Have you tried taking a picture with the camera rotated the other direction, and if so, does it print correctly?

As I understand it the ISO of Instax film is 800....security  scanners are reputed to only be a problem with faster (ISO 3200) films....even then only when passed through multiple times.

 

Even if it did effect it, the effect would be "fogging" of the film, which at worst would only render the pure whites slightly less than pure....it's very unlikely you would notice it.

 

Todays scanners supposedly emit very low amounts of radiation as compared to the older x-ray machines one would encounter back in the days of film, and the advice back then was to avoid multiple passes through x-rays with sensitive film (iso 3200), and the problem was worse with older technology machines in third world countries.

 

I very much doubt you will have any issues, but you could always place the film it in your checked luggage if you are checking bags and avoid the X-rays...

I have heard that this is a terrible idea as the X-rays on the checked baggage are MUCH stronger than the X-rays for carry on baggage.

 

I accidentally put some Instax film through a checked baggage X-ray and it seemed to have little to no effect. YMMV

LOL....I'm flying out at the end of the month and I'm planning to give an Instax printer and film as a graduation gift...guess I'm going to find out!

OK...I took Instax film through checked baggage last week....domestic USA round trip...no issues with the film....printed images look fine.
