Joystick lock

How do I lock the focus joystick position to stop the focus area moving about?

Adrian, do you mean the focus point moves when you move the joystick or it moves by itself ? I the first case, that is what it is for, in the second case you either have subject tracking or face recognition switched on, or you have a camera with a touch screen and you have that function switched on. (And a long nose perhaps 🙂). Send more details.

Which camera? If its recent such as X100VI then:

If you want to actually disable the joystick then go here in the menu:

Setup => Button/Dial Setting => Lock => Function Selection

Look for "Focus Stick" and click on it (Page 3 on the X100VI)

You can then toggle the lock on and off by long pressing the Menu/OK button
