XT10 Bracket with Film Simulations

Hi,

 

What is the write delay or lag when using film bracketing in jpg mode?

I dont have the camera yet. I'm curious if it's same as taking 2-3 shots at once.

 

This feature would only be useful in situations where you have time to spare

without missing the shot?

 

I have no plans to shoot raw. OOC jpgs to save on PP time.

Use a fast memory card and the delay will be virtually nothing.

It will take only 1 shot, and then it'll process it with the 3 different film simulations you choose in the menu.

 

Using a Sandisk Extreme 90Mb/s card I can take another picture after more or less 1 second.

Using a Lexar Professional SDXCII 150MB/s (faster than the XT-10's capability), I concur with addicted2light, more or less 1 second:

 

You take photo

3 mini photos appear on screen

You take another photo

 

Personally I never use it, as I use RAW+Fine

 

Then I can use 1 film simulation, and still have the RAW file, if you need ot make changes in Lightroom (or whatever you use)

When using film simulation bracketing you will not get RAW at the same time which is a serious disadvantage for me. For 95% of my shots I take the JPGs SOOC but for the other 5% I am happy that I have the RAW to fix what I have messed up at the shooting.
