  1. The X-T10 is a wonderful camera. I'm primarily a Sony shooter (A7r), but the recently acquired X-T10 is the camera I pick up just for the joy of shooting it (and yes, at this point I'll completely switch to Fuji as soon as X-Pro 2 prices will come down to earth). That said, there are a few things Fuji screwed up (intentionally? to push us into buying the X-T1?) with the X-T10 and some of them (2, 3, 4, 5) can be fixed in firmware, others will require a new iteration of the body. 1) We need the ability to fit a larger eyecup, period. Even the cheapest film cameras had this feature, why forego one of the main usability point if you're a company that has built is reputation on haptic and user experience? (I have to be able to see the scene clearly to be then able to capture it in a good way, or not?)* *that said, I might have found a DIY way to use a larger cup, I'll post the results should the experiment be successful EDIT: yep, it worked. You can check the results here: http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2284-sugru-nikon-dk-19-x-t10-extended-eyepiece/ 2) Why give us a bracketing option, but then hamper it with a limit to 3 frames with +/- 1 stop max? I can easily recover that amount in post, often even in jpeg. What we need is at least a +/- 2 stops, and better still the ability to shoot up to 7 frames to make HDR easy* *no, not "that" kind of HDR; but in landscape photography you often find yourself exceeding the capabilities of a sensor, and is nice to have the option to work with "deeper" (in terms of bit) files anyway 3) The self timer belongs on the "Drive" control wheel, if not for anything else for consistency and logic. With a firmware update you could easily let us assign one of the options on the wheel to that 4) People are alway whining about Sony and Olympus menus. I use both and guess what? Compared to them Fuji ones are even worst (even though, to be fair, they've come a long way since the original X100). Come on, get a grip and clean them up, or we'll send you to bed without dinner* *yes, with the "Q" menu you don't have to dig into the main menu that often. But still... 5) Lastly, not a mistake but a personal preference. I'd like very much the ability to assign the movie button to the focus magnification. I have that set up in the same place for all my other cameras (Sony and Olympus), and the consistency would be nice Other than that, IMO you've built an instant classic.
  2. Hey guys Firstly I love Fuji, and believe they are awesome for unleashing the most out of their gear through various big firmware updates. However I cannot understand why Fuji keep ignoring the poor +1/-1 exposure bracketing!!! Seriously; there is no reason not to enable more, I'd imagine a simple line or two of code. People have been asking for a long time, yet they seem almost insistent in ignoring this? Even though I don't like the super HDR shot, it can be very handy under difficult lighting to capture the best exposure. Thoughts?
  3. Hey, i wanted to start a wishlist for firmware improvements (KAIZEN). Maybe fujifilm reads this. Add you're own below! Currently X-T2: - Internal: 4k UHD, 4:2:0, 8bit, filmsimulation, 30fps - Exernal: 4k UHD, 4:2:2, 8bit, flog or filmsimulation, 30fps - only focus peaking but no zebra or vector scope Panasonic gh5: - Internal!: 4k UHD or DCI 4k, 4:2:2, 10bit, vlog, 24fps, 400 Mbps, All-Intra - Internal!: 4k UHD, 4:2:0, 8bit, vlog, 60fps, 150 Mbps, IPB - External: 4k UHD or DCI 4k, 4:2:2, 10bit, vlog, 60fps, 400 Mbps, All-Intra - focus peaking, zebra, vector scopes I know not everything is possible because of overheating but i guess they need to make improvements because of the competitive gh5. So the possible wish features would be: Fujifilm X-T2 KAIZEN update: - Internal: 4k UHD, 4:2:2, 8bit, flog or filmsimulation, only 24fps (because of overheating?) - Internal: 4k UHD, 4:2:0, 8bit, flog or filmsimulation, 60fps - External: 4k UHD or DCI 4K, 4:2:2, 10bit, flog only, 30fps - External: 4k UHD or DCI 4k, 4:2:2, 8bit, flog or filmsimulation, 60fps - External: 1080p, 4:2:0, 8bit, 120 fps - zebras and histogramm in video mode - a 1/48 option for 24fps shooting what are you're most wanted features? - maybe a higher bitrate? - maybe the option for h264 and h265? - maybe higher Mbps for better quality? - maybe a rgb-histogramm or vector scopes? Keep in mind not everything is possible because of sensor readout speed or overheating issues but maybe a few new features could be integrated for x-t2 + powergrip only? This would make it a perfect camera for stills and video. You could use it even on big productions as a b-camera because of external 4:2:2 10bit. But in situations when an external recorder is too big and heavy you still have the option for internal 4:2:2 8bit with flog 24fps or 4:2:0 8bit flog/filmsimulation 60fps. Why i dont buy the gh5 instead? I like the fujifilm x-t2 much more - the image quality is amazing - better lenses - bigger sensor - love the film simulations - dynamic range - ... Dont understand me wrong im really impressed with the current video features of my x-t2 but i still think there is room for improvements. Would be awesome if fujifilm reads this and thinks about future firmware updates for those hyprid fotographers/filmmakers which only want to buy one camera for both situations.
