  1. Sounds like a hardware problem underneath the shutter release. Send it in for maintenance.
  2. Rock solid. Have had it in my work bag since the day it was released. Hasn't even picked up a scratch.
  3. First one got replaced. And the replacement died too within the year. After that, I didn't even bother anymore. I usually make it through the day on one battery anyway...
  4. Both my original Fuji chargers died within a year of moderate use as well. My Wasabi ones are still going strong now, 3 years and counting. Lately, I've just been charging my X100T with the USB port.
  5. Yes, this basically. Don't be scared of the dials. There is no magic setting that is always correct.
  6. The jpeg seems to have a white balance shift dialed in. Check those settings.
  7. And if you like available light portraits, you'll usually end up at larger apertures and I find that modern autofocus systems have far greater hit rates with shallow dof than I'm able to achieve in manual, despite my experience with manual focus cameras...
  8. Of course, that's your choice. That was meant to point the poster to the correct section of the forum.
  9. There is a whole subpart of the forum dedicated to this, check it out. That said, I like my old lenses on my old cameras and my Fuji's with modern glass. If I want that old fashioned look, I'll shoot film on an old camera.
  10. Autofocus has it's place in photography, whether you believe it or not. Also, the OP asked for something small for occasional use and for other occasions than portraits. I'd say the 50 f2 seems like the perfect fit.
  11. Yes, during the approach to Geneva. Beautiful region.
  12. Near the Swiss-French border. X-T2 & XF 35/2.
  13. Mine was annoyingly rigid at first, but after use it has become just "tight", which I like because I tend to leave it in my workbag for days on end without having to check if it came off.
  14. I use my 56 at f2 or greater anyway most of the time, because otherwise the dof is too shallow...
  15. If portraits aren't your main thing, go for the f2. The bokeh of the new f2 lenses is great too.
  16. 50-140 is great too, even if shot through several layers of dirty windows.
  17. Haven't shot models for quite some time now, but for good reason, have had other subjects to focus on :-) We've had quite the baby-boom amongst our friends and relatives... X-T2 & 35/2 & X100T.
  18. Milan, few days before Christmas. X-T2, 35/2
  19. Early morning over Turkey. X-T2, 35/2.
  20. Morning sunrise. At the gate in Brussels, before departure. X-T2, 50-140.
  21. Bad moon rising. Swiss Alps. X-T2, 35/2.
  22. Epic sunrise while in long final for runway 25R in Brussels. You can just see the runway in the bottom right hand corner. XT2, 35/2.
