  1. The number will drop if you delete the images with the highest numbers. Try deleting an image from the middle of the batch on the card. The number won't go down because you still have the image with the highest number on the card.
  2. That number on the rear screen (293) isn't the number of images on the card - its the highest sequence number - are you sure you have taken 293 images and you haven't deleted any or reformatted the card?
  3. Do you have two cards in the camera? Are you sure you are looking on the right card? How are you looking at the card in the computer?
  4. So this isn’t a new camera from a FujiFilm dealer? I’m guessing that from the comment about the third party battery. I would go back to the seller.
  5. Do you mean that the camera completely powers off when you start to record a video? Not sure why it would do that unless there is a fault but if the setting to change Movie Mode is greyed out you might have the High Speed Recording Mode turned on - at least try turning that off but it shouldn't power off the camera. There is always a chance its a card problem - do you have a different card you could try? Is the battery fully charged?
  6. Where did you look? The firmware download sites seem to be geo specific. I downloaded mine from the UK site.
  7. Screen Setting menu => Disp Custom Setting => EVF/LCD => AF (or MF) Distance Indicator (and make sure you don’t have Large Indicators turned on)
  8. Are you writing in backup or sequential mode? If you are writing in sequential mode then its going to write first to the primary card and then switch to the secondary card. The speed of writing from the buffer to the card would be slower when the primary card is full. If you are writing in backup mode then things will slow down if you are shooting bursts AND the bursts fill the buffer - at that point write will be at the speed of the slower card.
  9. Comparing the X-M5 and the X-T30II the biggest difference is that the X-M5 doesn't have an electronic viewfinder. This would be a deal breaker for me but if you have grown up using a mobile phone as a camera it might not be something you would miss.
  10. My guess is that its your computer - but you could contact the Iridient developer using his email address - I have always found him responsive and helpful
  11. Yes - the card reader will solve your problems- there is an (undocumented) 4GB limit on transfer using a cable
  12. In the bottom right of the rear LCD monitor what does it say to the left of the 12800?
  13. https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-s10/taking_photo/shooting_mode/index.html#custom see the "Auto Update Setting"
  14. Does it change after you half press the shutter?
  15. Are you sure its using ISO 3200? Have you looked at the metadata of an image you have taken?
  16. The downloaded firmware file shouldn't be a zip file - what is the name and size of the file you have downloaded? Have you tried just copying the file to a SD card and trying to instal it?
  17. You have the Flickerless SS Setting in the Shooting menu turned on: https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-s20/menu_shooting/shooting_setting/#flickerless_s-s_setting
  18. I'd suggest a test. Set a slow shutter speed (maybe 1/2 second). Find a subject, something like text where you can tell easily if its sharp. Take three hand held images with IBIS on and three hand held images with IBIS off. Zoom into each of the images and see if there is a difference.
  19. And thanks for letting us know what the problem was - would never have guessed that as the problem (although I tried setting the conversion lens to tele in the menu and couldn’t replicate the problem)
  20. That is strange - on my camera the drive setting changes if I highlight something different and then tap the joystick or the menu button or half press the shutter. The only time it doesn't change is if I press the back button.
  21. If you press the button at the top on the back of the camera marked marked "Drive Delete" it will show "Advanced Filter". Use the joystick to scroll up to something like "Still Image"
  22. looks like the sensor needs cleaning - as @jerryy said its something you could do - sensor cleaning kits are available - or ask your local camera store to do it
  23. I’ll ask the same question as last time - did the problem show up after you transferred the file to a computer and how did you transfer the file?
  24. Maybe I’m missing your point but if you choose Advanced Filters with the drive button then you can’t choose none - you need to choose some other drive option like Still Image
