dalto got a reaction from karin.gottschalk in A plea to Fuji ...
IBIS is a features which doesn't cost much, can be turned off, is increasingly provided by nearly all the mainstream mirrorless ILC systems. It is one of those things that is becoming so common that it is moving from being a competitive advantage to a situation were not having it is a competitive disadvantage.
My hope is that for current generation cameras Fuji didn't arbitrarily decide to leave it out since there is obvious desire in the market. That is why I choose to believe that there is a technical reason that makes it more difficult for Fuji than the other manufacturers.

dalto got a reaction from Aswald in Film vs. Digital
It seems like comparing line pairs of film resolution to two pixels linearly is not the right comparison. I may be missing something though.

dalto got a reaction from dtuason in Fuji X-T2 I Hope I Get A Copy Soon
People are expecting to see another batch reach retailers the end of this month.
I don't know how big it will be. The other question is how backordered b&h is. Because they are huge they sometimes get a lot of preorders.

Unfortunately, we all have different, hands, faces, preferences and use our cameras differently. Personally, I don't enjoy using rangefinder style cameras. If Fuji only made RF style cameras I probably wouldn't buy them and would use another brand. Many people feel the opposite. Buy putting out two bodies based on mostly the same technology Fuji can cater to both crowds and capture more of the market.
The retro styling, as you point out, is completely an aesthetic choice but there is no doubt it also impacts sales figures. While I like the styling I would not buy a camera solely based on that.

The latest version of Lightroom 6 and Lightroom CC handles the XT2 files. I think it does a great job! Plus, proper use of the camera calibration and the RAWs come in looking almost identical to the JPEGs.

Hmm...looks like both lightroom and fastrawviewer support them.
EDIT: It is a pretty substantial savings on disk space. My files are mostly between 22-26MB
